Midnight is one of my favorite of the novellas. It's quite a story to be contained in a short number of pages.
Check out binge reads on Facebook their chosen author for the next two weeks is JD Robb and they are doing giveaways also.
Sandra wrote: "Glad you're enjoying them, Rachael. You're zipping right through them!"I'm loving them. Trying not to zip through but it's hard not to when I'm enjoying listening/reading to them so much! Can't wait for Festive in Death either but I'm not in too much of a hurry to catch up. (I pre-ordered the signed copy though so that's extra incentive). This is definitely one of those series I'll never get tired of or stop re-reading over and over again! ;)
I don't think any of us ever tires of the series. I know many are rereading or have already reread more than once. That's a sign of a great series! :)
Finished Hot Rocks this morning, started part two. Getting emotional fast over Divided. I stopped by my Friends of the Library bookstore in the hope they had JD paperbacks. Walked out with Betrayal, Imitation (Both in the landscape covers I love before the neons were released), Big Jack And a second copy of Naked. I already have one copy of Naked (Hardcover and signed but with no dust jacket) and this was the original landscape cover with her badge on it
. It'll go nice with my collection :)

Guess you got a lot of reading done on the cruise!

Going on another cruise the end of October. So I'll get the September release and save it for that cruise.
Wherever you are on your journey through the series, congratulations! We love having you here & discussing these awesome books with you all! :)
Working on Born in Death. Hilarious and yet gave me nightmares at the same time, though I love the whole baby deal. Fanfiction and this book does that to me apparently.. woke up thinking about what I read! Always nice having the hard and audiobook copy to read on my commute downtown too :)

This one definitely takes you around the bend with laughs and chills.

I'm so glad to be back here, about a third of the way into
. I think I overdosed on the In Death books and few Nora Roberts' trilogies. I started this one a while ago and just couldn't get interested in it. Very bizarre because I love Eve and Roarke and the entire bunch. So I took a break, read some completely different books and authors, and now I'm back to our favorite Lieutenant.
It happens, Randi! I find it helps to break away with other books & then return to the series. Clears my mind & gets me ready for more! :)
Yes Sandra, that's exactly what I needed to do. I'm just suprised because I couldn't read enough of the series, or fast enough. There were times I wished I didn't need to sleep, because I would rather be reading the In Death series! But I guess I really over-dosed and needed a break. I finished
and have to say it was a very difficult subject matter, but excellent none the less. Now I'm on to
but I'm also reading something completely different to balance things out.
I started on Creation in Death today. One chapter in and everything gave me the chills - crime, murderer especially. I'm really interested to see how this one will play out.
Gabrielle wrote: "Yes it gets better with each book I love roake know I'm on betrayal in death"Gabrielle, I am almost done with Betrayal in Death. Our in death reading is parallel so I would like to know what you think about this one when you are done. I have my opinions, but because we are at the same point in the series, I would love your opinion on this one compared with the previous ones.
Gabrielle wrote: "Im listening to the audiobook of seduction in death"Gabrielle, I sent you my opinion on Betrayal in Death. On to Seduction in Death.
I am not an avid reader, and I started the series just a few months ago. I can't put these books down and I have just started book 7 Vengeance in death. Already on the edge of my seat!
Congrats on catching up with the series, JS. Awesome!
Oh Sirena - it appears you've come down with the In Death virus. It seems to be contagious as we all have it! There is no cure...only option is to read more, more, more of the In Death series! lol

As I'll be going on vacation at the end of October, I'll be saving the next book for my vacation reading.
Reading "Thankless". Trying to finish the series before "Festive" releases. Double-edged sword - excitement to be ready for the new one; sadness, knowing that I don't have unread ones queued up.

I remember racing to catch up and, when I finally did, touched that double-edged sword:)

I'm almost caught up too. But I'm looking forward to doing a constant re-read of the series too. :) On Kindred right now. I never tire of rereading anything.
I didn't rush so I'd have more books to look forward to. Now that I've caught up, I can read some of the other books I've been putting off.Now that I'm done with Eve Dallas (for now), I can read some Eve Duncan books. I've read the first Even Duncan book and it was quite good. I think it should be a book of the month here.

The first Eve Duncan book was very good. I'll have to get the second one sorted to read while I am on vacation.
