Does anyone else hate Eric?

Okay...so somebody please tell me if it's only me...or if Eric is just an extremely shallow and boring person. Please comment on how you feel about this character, using whatever adjectives you want.

All in all, just tell me how you feel about him!!

Ya, I didn't quite like him at all. He was kind of weird and awkward for me and he felt like a character that the author didn't develop enough.

Eric was awful to scarlett...he was conceited and i think he was just taking advantage of her...i mean she was only 15!!!!

I know..right? I mean...he pretended that he didn't 'date' anyone 'cause he was Southern, but had a girlfriend from home all along!! What type of person does that? An actor, apparently...

I feel little bit hate him . I mean he seem nice but totally selfish. Even though he is honestly but still selfish to be with Scarlett but can't be sure to her that he would change his feeling to her or not in the future.
I mean Hello? He just want everything his way!

I didn't hate him at all. He was dishonest with Scarlett, but he did apologize to her, and he was honorable in the end.

I think he was a total creep. I mean Scarlett was only 15 but yet he kept on playing games with her the whole time.

I liked him at first but I knew he was bad news for Scarlett. I hated the fact that he was cheating on his girlfriend and Scarlett. At the end I loved that he was honest and knew that him and Scarlett would never work out. I think that Eric was okay.
