If something strikes you while reading, a quote an idea, please share.

Additionally, once you've finished please record any general impressions or thoughts on the book. You can also use this space for post-discussion reflections. If you haven't finished the book yet be warned, there probably are spoilers!

I'm roughly 20% through this book and so far so good. She seems a little apologetic for introverts, which is fine. I'm finding the concept of natural selection, as it applies to ideas, fascinating. Hopefully this is something that gets more attention later on in the book...

"If we assume that quiet and loud people have roughly the same number of good (and bad) ideas, then we should worry if the louder and more forceful people always carry the day. This would mean that an awful lot of bad ideas prevail while good ones get squashed" (16%, sorry, no page numbers in my edition).

Will | 8 comments Do the pages go by any quicker when you don't have numbers?

Will, you are too funny

Michelle (michelletm) If you're interested, here is a link to the Myers-Briggs personality test.

What Type are you guys??

I've taken a version of this test before and scored ESTJ in a landslide.

Based on Michelle's link, however, I just scored a ENFJ!!! What the hell! At least I still have my E and J firmly in hand.

Michelle (michelletm) You've become a feeler. Congratulations.
I'm an INFP.

I'm an ISTJ....Ryan, based on your past scoring, we're one in the same. Well, except for that whole introvert vs extrovert thing. Thanks for sharing the link, Michelle!

I've been struggling to communicate this idea of 'personality flux' ever since 'gone girl,' so much so that Amanda has labled me fake and insincere. The opening quote to chapter 9 captures what my failed words could not. At least I'm not alone :)

Kevin (kevineagan) | 11 comments INFJ all the way! I tend to have an INFJ score but sometimes I get INFP.

Will | 8 comments OK.. it gave me ESFJ, but I swear I could take the test again and get something totally different because the questions were so vague.

For Michelle, Lisa and the others who won't finish here is a quick and dirty NPR interview (only 7 min). She hits the highlights right out of the gate, specifically the difference between introversion and shyness.
