does anyone know if this will offically be made into a movie? My friend told me that Miley Cyrus was to play the lead role.

holly sh** really? I don't even think its worth making into a movie though :/ But even if Miley Cyrus was to play the lead role I might watch it. The book was really good, would want to see what they make her do.
Why would they make this book into a movie? It was a pretty mediocre book that gave me a huge disappointment. Mainly because the synopsis was not related to the book...

I really liked the book though, and if it is turned into a movie... i would go to see how it turns out...

But Lisa Mcmann has takes no part in casting, you shouldn't let Miley stop you from watching the movie...
At least the book is insubstantial enough that they probably won't have to leave anything out.
I know Mcmann hasn't had anything to do with the casting and it's not her fault but I much rather leave it how it is when I think of it then have Miley ruin it for me... you obviously don't hate her as much I do haha and she's totally wrong for Janie anyway.Everyone has their own opinion though! :)
Wow, so much Miley hate. That's crazy. I must be missing something, but I really enjoyed her recent film LOL, it's #1 on iTunes right now. Anyway, regardless of who play's Janie, I would definitely see this movie if it were to come about. I want to see what they can do with it. I actually think it's a book that has the potential to be brought to life in a rather cool way if they try. It's interesting to see what will happen.

I agree she isn't a good actress, they could pick someone else.. and i hope they do, but if she is chosen as the roll of Janie, i'm still going to see the movie... Just because i love the book! :)

I really don't Miley Cyrus to play in it but if she does I'll still see it cause it is a good book

Miley would be a terrible Janie. Cabel? I'll still see it, but I can't see her being Janie. :(

I didn't really like the book but i'd see the movie, but if Miley's being Janie, well NO thank you.

I never liked Miley C. untill I saw her get stoned on the internet. Then I thought, wow she's human after all, and not just some rich sheltered snob. shes cool to me. Let her play the part.This was an okay series to me.
She's not a bad actress. She's just as good as any other woman her age in the business. I think she would make a good Janie. I hope they do make it into a movie.

IKR?? This book had a horrible plot (if you can even call it a plot) and I did not feel ANYTHING for ANY of the characters and the only reason I finished it was because I challenged myself to finish every book I start... dang that book was bad...

yep tottaly agree with you there. it wasnt even really a plot it was more like a story line and it sucked.

i think we should do that whole bashing the book link thing. and i have no idea if it is really going to be a movie i just saw it on here.
I think they could make Wake into a good movie if they get everything right... Wake doesnt really seem like a hard movie to mess up; but who knows Hollywood may find a way...AND MYLEY CYRUS BETTER NOT PLAY JANIE! I HATE HER! IF SHE PLAYS LEAD AS JANIE I THINK THAT MIGHT MAKE ME NOT WANT TO SEE THE MOVIE! If myley cyrus doesnt play lead,I'll be happy...

And I agree, LOL was a pretty decent movie and I liked the Last Song also. I'd still see the movie.
