This book does not have the same ending as the film. Is this a book-to-screen given? It does not have the same girlfriend nor does it have the power highlight moments from Heroes either. The film has a fantastic monologue by DeNiro (you have a gift but...) and the smiling charm of Bradley Cooper glowing under the drug's influence. The film corrals a few characters and takes Glynn's story about an epiphany drug to, presumably, (view spoiler)[the White House (hide spoiler)]. The film is fun, the transition is fun; gathering your potential and rolling forward without fear is what the film offers. The book offers a detailed character study and the film shows a magic pill catapulting our hero past obstacles. I recommend the book to anyone 'enjoying' Philip K Dick and Rod Serling.
