having been to China, and actually in some of the rural areas, outside of the cities, I'm not quite sure what I ate. Never turned anything down though, which led to a very bad couple of days after dining with some monks.

Don't get me wrong, its not a dish that they serve at home. But, I had a bad habit of buying street food and all bets were off on that! One place that I ate at, I was told that it was 100% guaranteed dog meat (after the fact, of course). well, I can honestly say that I enjoyed eating dog!
