Ina (inacentaur) | 5 comments There are a number of memorable sci fi pieces in New Yorker fiction last year - notably (though there are others), "Lostronaut" and "The Region of Unlikeness." They're available for free on newyorker.com

Have any of these stories moved you?

H. R. (ndoerrabbott) | 55 comments great! I no longer subscribe to the new yorker, so happy to have the link.

Jeffrey Jelmeland (geoffrie) | 16 comments I haven't read New Yorker in many years now, so I have completely lost touch with what they publish. However, if they are mirroring their print publication online then perhaps I might venture over to take a look. Thank you for the link.

Ina (inacentaur) | 5 comments Here are direct links to the two stories I mentioned btw:

Lostronaut @ http://www.newyorker.com/fiction/feat...
An astronaut stranded in a solo settlement on Mars writes one-way letters back to her beloved, leading up to her demise. Memorable moments despite the fact that sci fi readers might find this topic overused.

Region of Unlikeness @
http://www.newyorker.com/fiction/feat...
A young graduate student is led to believe she's involved in something akin to the grandmother paradox. She resolves to resist.
