I read this book I can’t help but think that this would be a phenomenal movie. By phenomenal I mean one of those that moves you, makes you laugh and cry, cry because you’re laughing. It would not only be visually stunning, but an emotional joy. True I am a sucker for horse movies, having grown up on The Man from Snowy River, The Black Stallion and National Velvet, and more recently being in love with Seabiscuit and Secretariat. I don’t even think I would care about the actors in it, seeing as how the horses are the driving force here. But come on, who wouldn’t love a movie with this depth of a story behind it. Maybe someday I will get to see this wish come true.

Warner brothers optioned it I just found the link. Oh I am so happy! http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2106720/
Who knows, it just says preproduction. I can wait until 2015 if I have to, I suppose.
Yeah, and they have Seth Grahame-Smith (author of Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter) and David Katzenberg on board to produce under KatzSmith Productions. Maybe since this is a standalone (right?)they will hurry through the production process- I've noticed with series, studios seem to be waiting on them to finish before producing the adaptations. But who knows, it'll be "much" more promising once they name a director =)Check out the info here:

I didn't like this book THAT much but I felt so many times while reading it 'this would be perfect for the big screen', I've even visited places that would make amazing filming locations.
