Actually I jut finished like twenty minutes ago and I am so happy with it! I loved every minute of reading it and can't wait to read to next books in the series.

The only one I haven't read is Bitterblue as it didn't seem interesting to me at the time it came out. But Fire was also awesome! I also really liked Fire (the MC). It was very different!

Katsa (view spoiler)[ This girl is way over the top feminist wow she could tone it down a bit and still get the point across. For the first half of the book i could not stand her purely because the feminism was too much. I'm well aware women are every bit as good as men but saying how much better she was every other line was off putting. Just get on with the story and stop sprouting about yourself and how you will never marry. Your far to young to know how you will feel if you ever meet the right person and wish to have a relationship. I don't know if she knew by the end of the book but much to her horror if she does work it out she has strong feelings for Po. (hide spoiler)]

Audio: Due to the sheer number of characters the audio was excellent with all the different narrators, i think it would have been impossible to make sense of if it had only been the one narrator.

Overall (view spoiler)[I liked the story but it could have been sooooo much better if there had been less feminist remarks. Just saying your are better than the men does not mean you are. Show it with actions, not mouthing off. Po constantly telling Katsa she was better than him, just made him look pathetic and he was nothing like that. I loved the little princess Bitterblue she had a lot of spunk.
Romance: This was one of the better romance YA i have read as it was not shoved down your throat all the time how handsome or strong etc: I could feel the attraction between Katsa and Po it was there in there actions constantly :) (hide spoiler)]

Chapters 1-15

In the beginning, I thought that it would be a very action-packed story but it seems more political, kind of reminds me a tiny bit of Game of Thrones. There are parts where Katsa was overbearing. She seems like a big feminist, but sometimes she speaks in the most idiotic way because of it.

Giddon proposing to her was a little surprising. I didn't expect that to happen in the plot at all. When Raffin told her that Giddon liked her and was going to propose to her, I never expected it to happen in that event.

Po seems like an interesting character, I hope he develops into something greater as the plot continues on. I like how because he's a mind-reader he knows when to speak and such, but I understand Katsa's thoughts when he kept it a secret. It was a very sneaky and betraying move, but I also understand why he did it.

I'm really happy on how Katsa handled herself in the throne room with the very idiotic and obnoxious king. If it turned out any other way such as Katsa killing him, I wouldn't feel any remorse.

Katsa's Grace turning out to be survival was surprising, I knew it wasn't killing only due to the fact on how well she adapted to her surroundings, but survival wasn't what I first thought of.

I actually laughed at how Katsa realised her feelings for Po. When she kept blabbing on and on about how she wasn't going to marry and refused to have children, I secretly hoped she would fall in love with Po and rethink her stubborn thoughts.

I'm not sure how the rest of the story will play out, but it's getting really intense and interesting.

Chapters 22-29

I'm extremely upset right now, due to the fact that Po believes that he can take on Leck and his soldiers. I understand that he's the only one that can do it, but the plan was so simple, I didn't believe it could work, honestly, if Kasta was the one who was attacking, I could see it sort of going as planned, but Po, that's a whole different story. The fact that he came back bloodied and hurt proves that I was right.

I was also extremely upset when they left Po behind. I get that he's injured and was slowing them down, but the way he was acting and how he fell was just not sitting well with me. Something is definitely wrong with him, it could be with his grace or his physical body, but leaving him gave me a terrible feeling.

When Katsa and Bitterblue left and went down Grella's Pass, and Katsa wasn't eating much and giving all of the food and water to Bitterblue, I had a feeling she would pass out soon. Her Grace may be survival, but she can't live on almost nothing for days.

I really hope that the meet up with Po soon enough.

Chapters 22-Epilogue

When Leck appeared in Po's house I was really surprised, and even more so when Kasta suddenly threw a knife at his mouth, If anywhere, I would've believed it was meant for the throat.

I had a suspicion something was wrong with Po, and I was right. I can't believe he's now blind! A little sad he can't see Kasta or the world anymore, but it was a well-played surprise.

Kasta starting her own school to teach girls was a nice touch to the story, although I am a little upset she won't marry Po. It would've become a nice ending, even though it goes against what she says.

I finished the book Fire, and here are my thoughts.

Chapter 2: (view spoiler)[ Fire does not seem to have the same kick-ass quality about herself that Katsa did. Also, there is a lot of animal cruelty. I can't believe that her father killed her dog. So despicable and wrong. (hide spoiler)]

Through chapter 4: (view spoiler)[I am really liking this so far. I enjoy Cashore's writing style as I did in the previous books! In my opinion, Fire wasn't really that good to me. What did you think about it? But unless I'm wrong there was a reference to Leck somewhere near the end of Fire, revealing that he was the little boy Fore came across who feel inside the cracks of the earth? I think that was a really interesting way of connecting the stories though. Also I am liking where Bitterblue is going so far! (hide spoiler)]
