I am very curious about who was behind the kidnapping of Po's grandfather. Of course, Po and Katsa are falling for each other - how unexpected :) I was surprised to find out that Katsa's grace is actually life - survival - it's very interesting. At the same time I am worried what will Po ask her to do - he's always saying that she have to do what he tells her... (hide spoiler)]

I've just finished reading! :)

(view spoiler)[So Katsa and Bitterblue showed their survival skills - they managed to get to Lienid - I just thought that the killing of the King Leck was a bit rushed. Then of course - Po is blind, what? I didn't see that coming, but it was interesting how he learnt to cope with his grace to see without his vision. (hide spoiler)]
I quite enjoyed the book. I own the companion novel Fire, I might read it sometimes. It wasn't the best fantasy book I've read, but enjoyable and quite original.

They're currently on their way to go fight the king which sounds like bad stuff is going to happen... I'm betting that when the time comes Katsa won't listen to whatever Po tells her to do. Just finished! (view spoiler)[ WHY DID THEY LEAVE PO! NO! The 100 pages between them leaving him and then finding him was pretty rough, and I had to quite literally force myself to read it. I love how he gave her his castle ring, that was adorable. Their initial reunion (the hugging/jumping) was so cute and happy but I felt so bad for Po when he was ashamed that he couldn't see anymore. Both of their Graces are pretty awesome and I'm glad that while Po can't technically 'see' he can still see/feel her energy and stuff. I love them together! Considering reading 'Fire'...
