They are a perfect match for each other. I agree, I thought his development as a character was lacking in this book.

Chapters 1-9
(view spoiler)[The beginning was kind of hard for me, I got lost few times, I wasn't able to focus on reading. I do thing that the system of being Graced is quite original. Katsa is a girl, even though she's a killer - but she has some nice and warm feelings - her shaking hands with a small girl was so sweet. Also Prince Greening - Po, is very likeable. As I progress I like the book more... (hide spoiler)]

I like Katsa's and Po's friendship. Also Giddon is in love with Katsa - I guess girls usually don't want to see that someone, whom they don't like, loves them. Bummer... And Po can sense people - wow, I would love to be graced with this ability. Also, Katsa reminds me of Celaena a bit - she is a very strong girl, she knows and can kill, but she doesn't want to, so she rebels against the king. (hide spoiler)]
