"Ok, it's ok. Can you tell us how to get to the room then? Maybe who's there?"
"Well, there's Anne and Henry and some nameless guy, but I don't know who they are really and I don't remember how to get there..."

"Yeah, why?" Asked Gurtrue."Because, I know a person named Anne. She was a maid at Torina's house."
"Well, it might not be the same person, but, anyway, who is T-Torina?"
Kendra's face looked sad, then angry.
"Do me a favor and don't EVER stutter again... please."
A little startled, Gurtrue replied,"Okay. I think I might be able to go now. Probably. I'll wait outside if I can find the way. I wasn't looking coming OR going."
"Okay, lead the way!" Seth said.
...They headed down the hallway...
then while they were walking through the hallway a nipsie jumped out of a air vent with a sword the size of a toothpick started running (not very fast) and yelled getaway from my cave and started stabbing at their feet
"OW!" shouted Gurtrue. "That is ONE sharp mosquito bite!""Kendra, what is it!?" demanded Seth. "I forgot to drink my milk today."
"It looks like a tiny fairy." Kendra said.
"Nipsie! Gurtrue, don't kill it! You'll be in trouble. You won't be safe!" Seth yelled.
"Safe from what? You're starting to freak me out..."
"Seth, you've said too much." Kendra warned sternly.
"Said too much about what? And why can't I stutter?" asked Gurtrue.
"Kendra doesn't like it. It reminds her of Ga--"
Kendra had her arm over Seth's mouth.
"Shut up, you twerp."
"What are you guys talking about? My life just goes by too quickly. It's a whirlwind, and I can't get half of the stuff that you guys are saying through my head! Just explain this whole thing to me!!!"
"Okay Gurtrue. I'm not going to lie. But you have to listen carefully to me now." Kendra was looking Gurtrue in the eye with a serious, almost sad, look on her face. "The truth is...
((TO MUCH TENSION! I'M WORRIED THAT IF I POST ANYTHING, I'LL MESS IT UP. Sorry for shouting. Ok...here goes...))Kendra explained everything to Gurtrue. Gurture stared at her. Wow, it was amazing. Almost...well, ethereal, but all very true at the same time, as things fell in to place. However, Kendra didn't mention one thing.
"Who's Gavin?" Gurtrue asked.
Kendra frowned.
Seth made hand motions at her, obviously trying to say, "shut up right now"
[What does ethreal mean? :]Gurtrue complied. Then she looked back at Seth, who was making puppy-dog eyes at Kendra. Kendra's face looked very angry. [[Sorry for the bad vocab, been like that all week:]]
"Fine." was all she said.
Seth grinned. "Gavin was this guy who was actually a dragon that Kendra liked--"
"DID NOT!!!"
Seth smiled again, but slyly this time. "Fine then, you didn't but anyways... Gavin was actually this evil dragon who had a big head like," Seth stomped around like a T-Rex as he rambled on. "Arghh... I am Navarog and I will be the Dragon KING instead of stupid, Celebrus who doesn't deserve to be dragon king and after he said that this small dinky little fairy dragon got angry 'cuz Celebrus is his daddy an' he went Rawr!!! And then the Fairy dragon named Raxtus went KABAMM and ate Navarog who is also Gavin because dragons can turn into people and Raxtus ate Gavin when he was a human in three bites man!!! ItwassoAWESOME!!"
"Okayyy......." said Gurtrue. "So, there is WArren who is good, Tanu, Coulter, your grandma and your grandpa? And the most evil person in the world is the Sphinx? Like the one in Egypt?"
"Yeah," Kendra said. "Except the Sphinx looks like a brown surfer dude with long dark dreadlocks.""Creepy." Gurture said, then remembered Anne, which snapped her back to reality. "What are we going to do? We need to contact the authorities."
"Are you an idiot!?" Seth yelled. "We can't do that. They would lock us up as crazy maniacs."
"You are a crazy maniac." Kendra replied.
Gerture's thoughts were still on Anne. Then she thought of a plan.
"Ok," Gerture said. "Here's what we're going to do..."
we are going to eat chicken while jumping on jello that will get rid of the crazy......
..."Thoughts in my head that maniacs are pursuing me!!!!" Gutrue let out a strangled, insane laugh.Seth smiled nonchlantly (unexpressioned, more calm than need be). "She's losing her head. At least, she thinks she is." He let out a cold, empty, laugh. "She thinks we're joking! She just doesn't get it, does she? She- she thinks this isn't real! That this is a GAME!!" Seth laughed again, hysterically, softly. He looked Gurtrue in the eye. "This isn't a joke. This is real. You haven't experienced half of it. Our parents have been kidnapped! KIDNAPPED, I TELL YA!! The authorities will do nothing. NOTHING!!! And, since you know this, you are not safe. Soon, you will experience more and more monster attacks. And you won't be able to see them... BECAUSE You have not opened your eyes to monsters. You cannot see them as Kendra can. Twenty-four-SEVEN!" Seth paused, shuddering, composing himself. "Gurtrue, you need to listen up. Since you have learned of this secret world, monsters will come at you. They KNOW things. They can kill you before you even KNOW that they are there. Watching you. Watching your every move. They could be ANYWHERE, and you won't know it. How sad is that?" Seth finished, his voiced softening at the end.
"But why CAN'T I see the monsters?" asked Gurtrue, sounding like a four-year-old.
"The reason why," Kendra started, "is that..."
"You haven't eaten any Walrus butter." Seth cut in, now returning to his normal annoying mood."Seth," Kendra scolded. "The poor girl doesn't want to hear about Walrus butter!" To Gurture she said, "All you have to do is drink this." She produced a small vial full of a white liquid.
Gurture didn't appreciate being called 'Poor girl' but she was too scared and curious to care.
"What is it?" Gurture asked.
"Come on," Seth scoffed. "You don't know milk when you see it?"
Gurture was starting to get extremely annoyed with this 12 yr old kid. Be witty Gurture, she told herself.
"No I know what milk is." Oh, that was clever, she told herself.
(How old is Gurture? Did we establish an age?)
"Just drink it." Patient Kendra was starting to sound not so patient anymore.
Gurture took the tiny bottle, scrutinizing it carefully. To drink or not to drink, that is the question. She unstopped the cork at the top of the vial and downed the milk. She didn't feel different, but she saw something different.
"LOOK! Quick, behind you!" She pointed desperately screaming at Seth and Kendra. "It's a..."
jarlo (this big horse looking thing that has bouncy balls for eyes and bricks for feet)Kendra turned around and Seth and Kendra both put their feet out and tripped him then as he was on the ground Kendra took out another vial and this time it had the salt that Kendra and Seth had around their bed on midsummers eve then when she poured it on him...........
he turned into dust."Too cool!" Gurtrue yelled. (Mandy, it is Gurtrue, not Gurture.) "How did that happen? Oh, well... I kind of figured out that you guys have magical food."
"Well, yeah, I guess..." Seth mumbled. He seemed a little different, it seemed to Kendra.
"Kind of, but not really...ish. Could you stop asking questions? Please?" Kendra asked.
"Sure, but this is all too new to me. Anyway, who is Warren?"
Kendra had to answer this one, as Seth had the answer all wrong. "Warren is a guy who..."
[[Sorry, I had to invent this paragraph. It didn't come naturally. Writers block, perhaps?:]]
warren is a guy who lives where i usually go during the summer an he is awesome

erupted in laughter. "Ha Ha Ha. I got you now."
The three kids plus the new Gertrue's friend, Mandy :) spun around. It was the Sphinx.
"Who is that!?!?" Mandy cried.
"The Sphinx." Gertrue's courage was boosted by Mandy's fear.
"Run." Seth yelled.
They ran like lightning down the corridors for what seemed like hours.
Gertrue felt like she was in a bad dream and was running in slow motion. (I hate that feeling!!! Don't you?)
"I think we're in a maze." Kendra screamed over the pounding of feet and hearts.
"Turn right." Seth yelled, panting. "When I was in the maze at the Centaur's camp (book 3) to get the Unicorn's horn, the maze always turned right."
"This isn't that maze though. Is it?" Mandy spoke up.
"It's our best chance." Kendra nodded agreeing with Seth. "Keep running."
They turn the corner only to find themselves in a room filled with...
feathers."Feathers?!?" Kendra Exclaimed. "I would have thought snakes, imps, dragons, ghouls, and all those other stupid dark creatures, but not feathers."
"Well, maybe they are fairy corpses. I don't know." Gurtrue said with a shrug.
"But..." stammered Mandy. "If all of what you guys said was true, then feathers must just be feathers, right?"
"Well, yeah, but..." Seth started, speechless for once.

(Har har Selena--thanks I need to get that right for once.:) "What if they're chicken feathers?!" Gurtrue asked cutting in.
"Hey, you could be right," Kendra nodded in approval turning to Seth. "Remember when Grandma was a chicken? Maybe this could be her feathers from forever ago."
"Seriously?" Seth asked dumbfounded. "Yeah right. We're not at Fablehaven, we're in some sort of psycho's maze with the psycho Sphinx chasing after us." There were noises coming from behind them. The Sphinx was coming closer.
"Whatever we do, we need to hurry," Kendra judged.
"Maybe we're in a dungeon," remarked Mandy. "Sure smells like one." She pinched her nose with two long fingers.
Gurtrue stared at her in disbelief, her excitement mounting. "I bet you're right! I bet we're under Fablehaven!"
so they hided in the feathers and when they were in them they heard the sphinx look around for a little while and then leave but luckily there were mining tools in the corner so they took that and when they finally got to the to of the dirt where they thought fablehaven was they discovered.............
[Good job, Mandy! You got it right!:]Seth and Kendra's eyes opened as wide as an owl's in disbelief. "You're probably right!" Kendra exclaimed. She slapped herself in the forehead. "Why didn't I think of it before?"
"Gosh, Kends." (Seth had developed the habit of calling Kendra that.) "Stop being such a drama queen. It's not like it's your fault. Gosh."
"It sounds like your being a drama king. Looks like you've been hanging out too much with Warren." said Kendra, with a smirk.
"You mean the dude stuck in the backpack?" Mandy questioned.
"Yup, he--" Seth said. Just then a voice called from above.
Umm... Gurtrue is... A few months younger than Seth?
(I don't know how old Gurtrue is) Ahh--I have an idea, I'll make a poll and when the poll ends however many votes on the age is how old Gurtrue can be! I'll invite the whole group...
"Kendra, Seth, is that you?" The voice was soft and cunning.Kendra's face went as white as chalk. "Vanessa." She whispered in terror.
"We can take her on." Seth cried courageously. Mandy glanced at him in awe.
"Oh, could you?" She asked in a sing-song voice.
Gurtrue shot them a second glance, then exchanged a look with Kendra, who grinned knowingly.
"Come on you too." Kendra took two steps forward. "If we're going to take Vanessa, we're going now."
She stepped toward rows of stairs that Gurtrue hadn't noticed, and crept stealthily up them, Seth and Mandy following.
Gurtrue followed, quietly. Not daring to make a sound or sneeze.
They had reached the top of the stairs. A woman stood there, long black hair flowing down her back. She was gorgeous, but her face held a cold beauty.
"Hello Kendra." She spoke softly. "I won't hurt you."
"Yeah right." Kendra spat. Gurtrue could tell she was trying to be brave, but her voice had a slight stutter.
Vanessa shook her head. "I really won't--"
Seth cut in. "What are you doing outside of the Quiet Box?"
Vanessa shuddered visibly, "Your Grandma let me out."
"Grandma!?! Since when? She didn't." Seth mouth gaped.
Vanessa smiled a smile like iron. "It appears that Fablehaven is in danger, as always and the worst part is--the Society of the Evening Star--" Vanessa paused. Gurtrue felt a shiver run down her spine. "--Has kidnapped your Grandfather and your parents..."
what? cried seth that sucks im going to get them back if it is the last thing i do
ohhh.. i am sorry. i started typing, but didn't send it after cloud wing did. So I am kind of lost. o_O. I am working on a story using this, fixing grammar and stuff. So maybe later I can fix it aroung to incorporate everything in ;)
"Now, Seth, child, please do not be so foolish. They are too strong for you. You cannot take them on." Vanessa replied. It seems that Vanessa has mellowed out in the quiet box pondered Kendra.
"Why, Kendra," said Vanessa, seeming to read Kendra's thoughts. "I have changed. Being in the quiet box makes me realize what we are all here for. Why, I could be a philosopher." Vanessa marveled at the thought.
"So," Vanessa sad. "What..."

The poll ended on 11/25/09 and the winning age is *drumroll and yells* 12!!Gurtrue is now official twelve. The reasons were submitted in the comments:
1) So then she can be the character she is turning out to be. Timid, growing to be brave. You know--all that good stuff.
3) So she can be the same age as Seth (you know what that means) wink wink nod nod :)

I don't know. Urghhhhhh..... Oh well. Lets just leave it at twelve, then. Ok. Lets add to the story some more. I can't start again because i was last. Oh yeah, and I have to make the story ((all together)) again because my computer crashed and had to be replaced

"You guys are forgetting something." Kendra cut in. "There's a third option." Everyone looked at her, their questions unspoken. "We could use our wits."
"Now what is that supposed to mean." Seth scoffed.
"It means," Kendra cast a stony glare. "That we....
have to combine our thoughts and think of the most excellent, shocking plan ever invented.""Okay, so obviously my sister is crazy. How are we supposed to do that?"
"It's obvious," Kendra said. "We just think of a plan. A plan worthy of Athena, the Greek goddess of wisdom and battle. So, what ideas does everyone have?"
Mandy raised her hand. "We could always run away. Then we can set traps: Trip wires and net stuff."
"Well, sure," shrugged Kendra. "But do you know how?"
"Yup. I learned how at the Girl Scouts. We just set a trip wire, with a pulley, and that is the basic stuff. Then you attach it to a net."
"Okay, sounds good. Now," Kendra added. "Where will we get the stuff to make it?"
"That's an easy questions, Kends," Seth answered. "We'll get them at..."

"The weapons arsenal."Kendra, Vanessa, Mandy, and Gurtrue stared at Seth.
Finally, Gurtrue spoke. "How did you know that they had a weapons arsenal?"
"Hey, i'm not a shadewalker for nothing you know," he said, slightly annoyed.
"Did you get in?" Mandy said shocked.
"Yep."
"How, exactly, did you get in?" Kendra said sternly.
"I just..."
((hurry!))
"...umm... Kends, don't get mad at me, but I just snuck in. I mean, there was this password, and I bet that it had the same password as the other sid of the attic, so I entered it, and then, yeah. And we can also get some stuff in the shed, too.""That's a good guess," Gurtrue said. "I mean, theres BOUND to be ropes in a shed too, right?"
"Right. And also in the barn. But I NEED to get my hands on a good, balanced sword. To destroy the Sphinx." Vanessa sounded mad.
Mandy was still a little confused. She was always a little slow to catch on. "But, the Sphinx already suffered enough. She got her NOSE knocked off."
Gurtrue rolled her eyes. "Come ON, Mandy. Don't be such a lame-o. Not that Sphinx. The male, HUMAN Sphinx."
"Oh...right."
Then Seth burst out laughing.
"Seth, why are you laughing!?!?" Kendra was furious.
"I-I'm laughing be-be-because---"
Selena said "Mandy was still a little confused. She was always a little slow to catch on. "But, the Sphinx already suffered enough. She got her NOSE knocked off." Am NOT!! ;)
"...I was just laughing in hysterics." Seth's face grew serious again.
Kendra glanced at Seth, "We'll, no matter how insane this may be or nuts we may get," She glanced again pointedly at Seth. "We need to get moving..."
(Sorry, don't have time to type more.)
..quickly! We have to get going!"Vanessa strided up ahead, with Kendra in quick pursuit. Mandy was also trying to catch up, but Seth a Gurtrue stayed a few feet behind.
"What the heck is a shadewalker?"
Seth paled. "Well, I-I wasn't actually supposed to tell. But, I guess we'l have to tell you guys soon. Wait." Seth paled even more, if it were possible. "Oh my gosh.. I just let VANESSA know!"
"Who's Vanessa? Is she that tall, pretty lady? And why can't you trust her? And you never answered my question! What is shadewalking?"
"Fine. Vanessa betrayed us earlier in the summer. Sh-she almost got all of us killed. Kendra, Seth, my Grandparents. That's when I started getting shadewalking powers. You see, I pulled out the nail of a revenant, this almost zombie person. It had a magical wooden nail in its neck and I pulled it out. So some powers went right in me. Later on, Some faries started getting dark and a satyr was like a minotaur and everything was in chaos and--"
He got interrupted by Gurtrue, and they were still walking at a fast walk. "Wait, wait, wait, FAIRIES?"
"Yeah. Umm.. I should tell you that Kendra is fairykind, and the fairies---"
He got interrupted again. "I'm sorry, but, VERY KIND?"
"No, FAIRYkind. May I coninue now?" Gurtrue nodded. "Good. So anyways, the fairies shared some magic with her, and then, when Kendra talked to the fairy queen, she destroyed the shrine so that Kendra could save Fablehaven, except that whatever put the pebble on the nail in a tree would die. So, our friend Lena died. And her husband that traveled back from time was so depressed, and so was Kendra, but, when the nail got destroyed, the rest of its powers went in me. And two weeks ago, a demon named Graulas made me a Shadow Charmer, which means that I can converse in all dark languages while Kendra can speak and listen to any light languages or any language related to the fairy language as if it is english. The end."
"Okay, but I still have just one question..."
"No!' Gurtrue said. "No one was chasing me... B-But, who are you?"
"I am Kendra and this is my little brother Seth. We are looking for someone."
"ARe you here alone?" asked Gurtrue.
"Hahaha!" exclaimed Seth. "Nah, we have a super huge Samoan guy and---"
"SETH!!" Kendra shouted. "Shut up!"
"Wait... What are you talking about? All I know is that this room is scary and..and... those people are like monsters!"
Kendra looked serious again. "Show me the room."
