He'd ask me, 'Why are you sad?'. Then I'd explain and we'd sit down and think about it. Was it really necessary, all that emotion? I'd be much better off without that negativity.

If you ever need to talk about losing your dad, especially since it's so recent for you, just let me know. I know how hard that can be. Just message me on here. Dads really are special, aren't they?

He really is. Thanks so much, I think I'll do that. It's so nice to see people who have been through the same things as I, especially since my friends from school are like, 'I share your pain,' when in reality they don't know what I'm feeling or anything.

It get's easier with each year that passes, but you never forget, I think he's watching over Sophie and me. Him and my mum both, I hope they are proud of me, my baby sister is. She googled me and sent me a text 'Omigod you're on Google sis! I'm so proud of you!'
That meant so much to me!

No, nor New York. I have too many places still to visit on my wish list, I doubt if I'll get through it in my lifetime!

It's gotten easier, certainly in the last year, but I know I'll always miss him. He was favorite.

I'll look that up! ;) Maybe it's time to go on an adventure with out my dad.

Oz

Hi Oz, I hail from Derbyshire, England but I now live in Brittany, France and have done for five years or more with my daughter Sophie who's 10 and mad on horses.
worst car experience ever
my mom and i went on a metro to washington d.c.
we went to buy a car that looked EXACTLY like my mom's 1999 avalon toyota.
she got it for 32,000 and was mad at not getting the online price.
three of the happiest days of my life.
the third day on a rainy muggy afternoon, she returned it.
thought she was at work so i came home singing, and undressing while walking upstairs.
screams!!!
well 92% of that story is true. 8% is the screaming part

Well I went to Lorient today that got me out of my little shell and into a big town. My Sat Nav decided to play silly buggers and take me into the centre of the town instead of where I asked it and then refused to talk to me! I switched it off and put it back in its case and found the place myself. So much for technology!

In the book I'm writing the police lose the suspect somewhere in Toronto! He turns up again later in France, we know it happens there was an episode earlier this year where a young man killed a Chinese fellow student and cut his body up and left it in the left luggage in Toronto, he then calmly got on a plane and ended up in France. He was finally apprehended in Germany!

O.O That is an interesting story that would probably give me nightmares! xD If you need any information about the city, ask me and I'll do what I can to help you!

Have you read Wayne Johnston's "A World Elsewhere?"

Since there are so SO many languages in our nation, it gets difficult to communicate with people of different states at times. There are some languages that bear no resemblance whatsoever to each other and learning a new one is always a chore.
Anyways, happy to see people from all over here :)

I'm a Texan stranded in Tennessee, trying to make his way to The Keys.

I'm from New York, too. NYC :)
