I enjoyed this book - read it straight through from 10 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. Some of us don't know when to go to bed. There are glimpses into the Cultural Revolution, the competitiveness of musical training in China, contrasted with his experience at the Curtis Institute.

It tells the story about Lang Lang's intense struggle and desire to become an accomplished musician. "I was shocked by how hard he had to work, his relationship with his Father, and the sacrifices that he had to endure" - It found this book very emotional. I have to admit that I had a few tears reading this! It's a great book. I truly recommend this book.
