Looking for a little help and compassion

Hello my fellow book worms. I am seeking all the help I can get. My disabled little sister's cat is sick and in need of a vet visit. Unfortunately we don't have the money to take her in for treatment and her cat is her only real comfort. I'm asking for any help anyone can give. These kind of stories break my heart. I'm a huge animal lover myself, have two cats and I know what comfort and love they can bring. I have to be honest though and I don't mean to offend you, but with the huge number of internet scams I am cautious these days.
You mentioned on the FB page that you'll post receipts and treatment records, but would it be possible to get and post a statement from the vet with the current diagnosis/treatment plan? I don't make a lot of money and I know I'm out of a job by September so I have to be careful with my money. I wouldn't mind making a small donation but I do feel the need to be absolutely sure that this is for real before handing money to strangers.

At the moment we are trying to get her in for an initial visit. The estimate we have up is a number the vet said would be possible if it is cancerous. When I have enough money to get her in, I will gladly post the treatment plan as well as the diagnosis. I know how tight money is for everyone in the current economy. I, myself, am barely getting by on Social Security. What else can I do to prove to you that this is a real?
