It was set on a world with cavemen, saurians, and modern humans plucked from earth by another intelligence. The modern humans were using the cavemens skills to make a space suit to visit one of these intelligences out in a comet I think. Also one of the cavemen wore a dress because he would not go through the rites of manhood, but was not gay. Any suggestions.

Was it a book by Arthur C. Clarke? I'm thinking of Tales from Planet Earth. This is a collection of short stories so I'm not sure if it fits. But the plot sure does sound like a Clarke novel.Here's a link to his titles: http://www.fantasticfiction.co.uk/c/a...
I don't remember Isaac Asimov writing anything about cavemen (except for one short story about time travel) or saurians.
Asimovs seems to be mostly robots and such, but there's always that one book that may be a bit different.
