No. All the works of an author are NOT a series (unless an author has only written books in one series). The general rule is that something cannot be a series unless each and every edition of a work is part of that series. Just because you have editions that were published as a single collection does not make every other edition of those books part of that collection.
Thanks for checking!
ISBNs are sometimes reused, which may have happened here.

I see, thanks for clarification. Then, it's only possible to add these books separately, correct?
Were they sold individually or as a single item? If they were sold (originally, by the publisher) as a single item, they still are not a series, but neither should each volume be added separately.

Well, they are intended to be bought together, but it is possible to buy individual volumes (at least some online shops have those). Does that still qualify as a single item? And just for the record, if they do qualify as a single item, is it impossible to add them to Goodreads library, then?
Edit: Just to clarify, the publisher's website actually only lists all volumes individually (link).

I'd wait for an Okay from a higher up though.

That does not mean much about being a series, not when the books have also been published many other different ways. This is NOT a series.
It does seem like the books were sold individually, though. They are priced individually and each has its own ISBN.

Definitely. And if any match the content of existing books, they should be combined with them as another edition.

I have a collection of all works by Astrid Lindgren (in my native language) and want to add it, but a few questions arose.
1) Is it really acceptable to create a new series for this purpose? I haven't seen any other such collections so am not sure whether it's fine.
2) All the books have two ISBN-10's listed inside, and some of them are used for other books in a confusing way. For example, one of the books in the collection consists of three novellas ("The Brothers Lionheart", "Ronia, the Robber's Daughter" and "Mio, My Son"). The first of the two ISBN-10 it lists has led me to this Pippi Longstocking book. Another ISBN-10 is not on this site yet. Is it okay to just use the second ISBN-10?
3) For instance, one books contains all Pippi Longstocking stories. Should I add it as an another edition of this, then?
I would appreciate any advice or comments. Thanks.
