The water in California tastes like butt. Everything you make with it is tainted. I'm looking forward to a good cuppa when I get home to the land of "The Old Bull Run".

message 102: by Félix (new)

Félix (habitseven) I never noticed that.

I was only in the Bay Area, but I remember Anaheim being horrible as well. So, I'm crediting the state in general...

Susan | 6406 comments I should have received a prize for drinking the crystals. I made a huge pot of good coffee this morning to treat myself.

That's why we purchase new "guest pillows" every 2-3 years.

Louise Is it one of the fancy models with glass tubes etc?

Hmm depending on their age, aren't most kids bratty from time to time?

What is 'expresso'?

message 120: by [deleted user] (new)

In England I never knew anyone who made real coffee. I prefer tea anyway. I like instant in my cocoa sometimes.

message 121: by Susan (new)

Susan | 6406 comments I put cocoa in my brewed coffee, sometimes. Instant mocha. :)

Yes! I made the mistake of buying some soy milk just in case it tasted ok in my coffee, and it DOES NOT. Now I'm stuck with the whole container, I guess I'll just be wasteful and toss it. It expires in a couple days anyway (what's with that, shouldn't it last longer than cow's milk?).

Sticking with my regular nondairy creamer from now on. No more experiments.

Scout (goodreadscomscout) | 3594 comments Being a guest in someone else's house is always stressful if you have to share a bathroom. Bathroom stuff is always tricky.

It also curdles in the hot coffee. The visual is really gross! I don't mind it on cereal but as a second choice to icy cold skim cow milk
