I really enjoyed this book. I found the beginning a little confusing until you realised the flashbacks. Love of two older people. What women wouldn't want a man like Noah with his dedication and endearing love until the very end. What happened to the years, Love and life they passed so fast. The ending was amazing. I cried for a good ten minutes and realised how sentimental I am. But really super writing and how its told from a nursing home from Noah reading a book of their life to his sweetheart who has dimentia and doesn't know who Noah is, but for brief moments as he reads to her the story of their own youth from a notebook, where scenes from their youth for the most part takes over. The ending was amazing and made the book. This was a story that made you think about lifes journey. Puff its gone!

Also, I have known an experience a little like this, (in a so called previous life) but as a young person, when someone I knew didn't know me any more, after having electric shots for a paranoia condition.

I think the book was okay. The book showed Allie's middle age and her onset of Alzhiemers where the movie started with her in the assisted living. Personally I liked the movie better.

Book. Having dealt with this on a personal level with loved ones it struck a chord. The movie was good, but the vision as I read it was not matched by the production. It was a wonderful read for me.

i loved the book but had already seen the movie before so the characters in the book where the persons i saw in the movie. but loved them both equally

I really enjoyed this book, whereas the movie was a little sappier.

I really like it the book I do agree some part I liked better in the movie version then the book in like with the princess bride move and book I felt the same way but I love both same the notebook movie and book

I love the book. Most of the movie adaptations were so disappointing.

Liked the book, loved the movie!

I watched the movie first, together with my wife who happens to also be my high-school Valentine. Somehow the book complemented the movie and viceversa, which cannot be said about most movie adaptations. I enjoyed both a lot.

This book was so slow and boring, I had to force myself to finish it. I am not and never will be a fan of the movie either. I get it is all about true love and all but both are way too sappy.
