Found it on her Facebook page, where she was chatting to her racing buddies.

I tend to agree, but wouldn't have said so in public...

Sharon Tillotson (storytellerauthor) | 1802 comments I'm still looking for a Twitter client wherein I can have incoming tweets culled and shown first from selected 'friends'. Or am I missing something from the site itself?

message 8: by Patricia (new)

Patricia (patriciasierra) | 2388 comments I just bookmark the accounts of those whose tweets I don't want to miss, then go directly to their feed.

Sharon Tillotson (storytellerauthor) | 1802 comments Didn't know about bookmark, that might work, will have to scout it out. I did just think of another way. I added 'My Faves' to my lists and kept it private, added some of my fave followers and will add to it as I go. May have to fine-tune it even further, such as 'My Fave Authors' or 'ROBUST'. But that should work. Not hard to take that step to click on the lists.

Duh!

That would be really rather nice. Currently, if I want to see tweets from you, I have to fill in your name in the search box. That gets old very soon when you want to see tweets from more than one or two people.

Sharon Tillotson (storytellerauthor) | 1802 comments The lists thing works - sort of. On the PC where I set it up, I can click on 'My Faves' and find you (and the other handful I added) easily. However, for some reason 'My Faves' (which I made private) does not translate over to my Adroid and for my iPhone none of the items on my old list (which I set up at the recommendation of Anne Allen when I first joined Twitter), nor the new 'My Faves' shows up.

They may yet, I have noticed there seems to be a lag time for some of the tweets, etc to sync (though I thought it was all in the Cloud, which to my understanding is data is all there simultaneously for any one given app/website address).

I do think I will fine-tune it to a handful of my extreme faves, which I will give a separate name, deal with anything from that list if necessary and perhaps go to the secondary faves, which might be my extreme interests (for me that's writing/publishing news, sports and tech stuff) rather than social media contacts, then perhaps a third fave list of the secondary followers I want to assist with retweets. The rest will come up automatically as it now does before I click on a link and if I have time I will glance at it to see what catches my eye (which is pretty much how I now use Twitter).

This will work until such time as a client comes along offering to do it all easily for me, kench. Though everyone's needs/preferences will differ, once set up it will save a great deal of time.

Thanks for the clear instructions, Sharon. Still a long way around a function that Twitter should make simple...
