I'm not a spiritual person, but I love the karma... going to bed each night knowing that I didn't knowingly contribute to pain or suffering that day, and that I am more a part of the solution than the problem.

You've gotta love all those delicious cruelty-free trousers. The meat eaters don't know what they're missing!

Which trousers would these be? I think I have missed something :)

it's the leafy edible trousers we all get in the mail when we become veg*n. i'm surprised you haven't received yours yet. i'd look into that if i were you.

Aww man! I hate being kept out of the loop! Looks like I need to get out my very best stationary and write somebody a very stern letter. Hmph.

At least they weren't made of kale. I think that would have just been cruel.

Lol, I also like doing that with baked goods. Many people thing it is simply against the physical laws of the universe to be able to bake a cake without eggs.

1. Knowing that nothing had to die for me. I'm a huge animal lover (even though I'm allergic to a lot of them), so it feels good to know that no innocent little animals had to die to feed me. I hate the thought of anything having to suffer.
2. How I feel! I didn't even realize how unhealthy I felt until after I stopped eating meat. I never feel bloated or "off" in the tummy anymore. My digestion and basically every other thing about my body is better. My health has never been better.
3. Contributing to the well-being of the planet. The meat industry is very hard on the environment. This feels like just another way I can do my part to protect the planet.
4. This is going to sound kind of horrible, but I'm going to say it anyway. Every time I hear about some big meat recall due to salmonella or e.coli or whatever bacteria contamination, I feel this slightly smug sense of satisfaction. It is similar to that "I told you so" satisfaction. I don't want anyone to get sick or anything like that, but I feel good knowing it doesn't affect me. Selfish of me, I know.
Also, I agree about the enjoyment of serving omnis vegetarian or vegan food and having them be shocked that it was actually tasty and filling.
