As a copy editor, I couldn't help but be appalled at the poor quality of editing in my edition (ISBN 978-0-7653-2999-8).

There are typos, fragments, dropped words and continuity errors all over the place. Whoever proofed this edition's galleys should be fired.

I was wondering if anyone else's editions were so mangled?

I noticed some funny stuff when I was reading too. I'm not a copy editor, so I'm sure I didn't see all you did. I just noticed some typos (easy to spot) and some mangled sentences that didn't make sense. I'd wondered a little about the quality of the edits and why it wasn't done better.
