Vinnie Tesla (vinnietesla) | 19 comments I apologize if this is a FAQ--a quick look through didn't seem to address it.

I'm published by Circlet Press, a mostly e-book imprint. Yesterday I noticed that my book The Erotofluidic Age still had an ASIN instead of an ISBN in Goodreads's entry. Fixing that allowed the reviews here to propagate to Kobo, Weightless Books, etc. So that's all happy good news.

However, it called to my attention that many other Circlet books of similar vintage have similar problems. I tried to update them by hand, but I don't have privileges to touch those books.

Should I post a list of the titles and ISBNs here, or what?

lafon حمزة نوفل (lafon) | 3544 comments These were all originally published with ASIN's, yes? If so then you shouldn't change them from ASIN to ISBN; rather you should create a new edition with the ISBN. Think of Goodreads like a library. Just as a library wouldn't remove out of print books neither does Goodreads.

Krystal109 | 1086 comments The ASIN are the kindle editions. The ISBN's are non-kindle editions. They need two editions each.

Yes. I reverted the changes on that book. As was stated above, a new edition must be created. It is NEVER ok to change an existing edition with a valid ASIN or ISBN (even if it is out of print) to a new edition.

Krystal109 | 1086 comments We will make a new edition for your book with the ISBN. Can your please supply the ISBN's for the other books you are talking about so we can make new editions for them.

Vinnie Tesla (vinnietesla) | 19 comments Okay. I don't fully understand why a .kin is one edition, and a .pdf, .epub, .html, .lit etc is another edition, but i guess I don't need to.

Circlet books that only have Kindle editions:

Beyond the Softness of his Fur, Vol. 1; ISBN: 978-1-61390-023-9
Elementary Erotica; ISBN: 978-1-61390-002-4
For Want of a Nail (The Marketplace) ISBN: 978-1-61390-016-1
Like a Vorpal Blade; ISBN: 978-1-61390-005-5
Like Hearts Enchanted; ISBN: 978-1-61390-055-0
Like Heaven and Hell; ISBN: 978-1-61390-018-5
Masked Pleasures; ISBN: 978-1-61390-006-2
Simulacrum; ISBN: 978-1-61390-057-4
Women on the Edge of Space; ISBN: 978-1-61390-019-2

Chocolatiers of the High Winds (ISBN: 978-1-61390-049-9) and
Like a Treasure Found (ISBN 978-1-61390-007-9) apppear to have no ID numbers at all.

Thanks for your help!

It's because Amazon's ebook search system works with ASINs. And so if we don't have the ASINs in our system to match, then the links to buy the ebook from Amazon won't work. (And we keep records of things that are out of print, so whether or not the ASIN is still in Amazon's system is irrelevant.)

I'll work on adding the ISBNs you listed. :)

Amara Tanith (aftanith) All ISBNs provided in #6 added to the system. Note that the publisher's site actually lists Like a Treasure Found as ISBN 978-1-61390-032-1, while ISBN 978-1-61390-007-9 is listed as Like a Moonrise: Erotic Tales of Shapeshifters, which is the information I went with.
