Richard | 57 comments I'm seeing Reader's Digest Condensed Books and Select Editions volumes entered in all kinds of ways. For volumes I can't find and have to add, I'm going with this format (unless someone explains the preferred format to me):

Title/Title/Title/Title (Reader's Digest Select Editions, Volume x, year)
with all 4 authors added in the order their titles appear

lafon حمزة نوفل (lafon) | 3544 comments Richard, that should be fine. Treat it similar to an omnibus. (Although the second part with Reader's Digest inside parenthesis is the one I'm not sure about).

Richard | 57 comments They are pretty much a series with individual volume numbers.
Here's an entry I didn't find in my original search:
RD Condensed Books: The Third Twin; Small Town Girl; To the Hilt; The Burning Man

and the entry I created for the same book:
The Third Twin/Small Town Girl/To The Hilt/The Burning Man

and other examples:
Reader's Digest: Select Editions
Reader's Digest Select Editions
Reader's Digest Select Editions

The condensed books series was up to volume 230 back in 1997, & Reader's Digest puts them out several times a year, so there are an ungodly # of these out there.

Vicky (librovert) | 2462 comments I started editing the RD Condensed Books a while ago but it's a slow work in progress. I started a series Reader's Digest Condensed Books, and was adding books to the series as I cleaned up the entries so you can see what format I was using.

In most cases, the covers and title pages of these books call them "Reader's Digest Condensed Books" or "Reader's Digest Select Editions" with the volume numbers.

Just as omnibus collections The Foundation Trilogy or The Hyperion Omnibus have their own titles outside of the novels they contain, the titles of the stories within the RD books are not the offical title of the book.

I was putting the titles of each book in the collection in the description. If you think it's necessary that it be part of the title - I would use:

Reader's Digest Select Editions, Date, Volume#: Book Title/Book Title/Book Title

Richard | 57 comments You really are dedicated to start at the beginning & try to standardize the mess. If I have to add any more I will follow your format example.

Richard | 57 comments I've revised the entry I added. How's this?

Reader's Digest Condensed Books, 1997, volume 2
