Two books in The Riduna Series were published by Eventispress in July this year. Since the out of print version of Riduna is still showing on Goodreads I have uploaded the new version of my first novel Riduna ISBN978-0-9572520-4-2 on my author page. Unfortunately it is still showing the original as part of the series but this is not the case. Eventispress now have sole publishing rights. Is it possible to make this clear, even though it may not be possible to remove the original version.
Diana, you're talking about this book, yes?http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/16...
Is this book not book #1 in the series?
Are you saying you want to make sure the Eventispress publications instead of the old Vanguard Press books are the featured covers and books on your author page, series page, and search results? That's something goodreads calls the default or primary edition. If you don't specify, whichever was most popular (most shelved by goodreads members) is the one that shows up, in this case the other publisher's.
Authors can now set which edition/bookcover shows as default/primary edition (what shows in simple searches and in their author pages).
Goodreads policy still does not allow any previously published covers to be deleted or overwritten (really plays havoc with members who deliberately added particular cover to their shelves); however, authors can now choose which edition is the primary.

Can take a while to update/populate correct edition/covers out to all pages at goodreads once you set; but, once you see correct bookcover showing on your author page - you did it right and between 10 minutes and 72 hours everything will update.Librarians are happy to help; but, we actually can't set primary edition for you. So if confusing or you have problems doing, you need to ask a staff member to help via the contact form at http://www.goodreads.com/about/contac... .

I think Diana and other authors are used to dealing with the bookseller and retail sites. That is, of course on the retail sites selling your book you want just the currently for sell edition. On goodreads, we want all editions so members can catalogue/shelve even the old out of print ones or whatever editions they want.

"Done"
Thanks!
I made a mistake and i think i added the novella's to the primary one on R.K. Lilley, books but someone fix it by deleting all of them? is that the way it's suppose to be fixed?
No Tokies, the novellas can be added to the series, you just don't tick the box on the right hand side on the edit series page.

This thread isn't really meant to be a general series request thread, so I'm closing it.
Remember, it's always ok to start new threads in this group. And in most cases it's less confusing to do so than tag onto existing ones.

When listing books in a series, omnibus editions, boxed sets, partial books (such as books split into multiple volumes in translation), and anthologies containing short stories are all valid books in the series with the "primary work" checkbox unchecked. The only time you'd want to remove a non-primary book from the series would be if the series is numbered and the non-primary book exists only in a form with a different numbering, which is rare, and in that case you'd want to make a new series and put a link to it in the main series' description.
