We are in north Carolina..she's in Belmont and I'm in Charlotte. Beaches to the east mountains to the west..it's why we moved here. Plus we are smack dap in the center of the eastern seaboard 1 day trip to get just about anywhere north or south from Maine to FL :)
I could roadtrip there!!!!! It's not even an entire day of driving!! 17hours!! :P It's far, but I love roadtrips! LOL

Exactly! So see you can come get a tour of all of the Bachelorette places, haha.I'm with Leslie now I'm about to hit the hay. I don't know how you stay up every night with having work. I'm a night owl but I can sleep in and even nap when I want during the day.
So, I think we have covered where we are all from and then some on this thread. Lol. How about best thing about where you live??I live in North Carolina, USA (for those of you who are geographically challenged) and best part of NC is I can get to either the mountains (1.5 hours) or the beach (under 4 hours) makes for great day trips and weekend get-a-ways :)
Michele you crack me up. Good topic change by the way. Well as you already know I live in North Carolina as well. I love being so close to the pleasures of the mountains and the beach as well. I went to college at ASU so the mountains hold a special place in my heart. Our beaches are beautiful on the NC coast. They're not overly crowded like some places. I honestly feel like we have some of the most beautiful spots in our state than any other :)

We're like half an hour away from the rocky mountains but unfortunately there are no beaches anywhere near us :(
In your places, how's your weather there? just curious. because here in my place, we don't really have snow. Our winter is like just a rainy season.. the best part here is summer.
@Beatrice. Here in NC we have really hot and humid summers. We also have mild winters. We didn't get any snow this past winter at all. I really like the fall time here. Sixty to seventy degree weather is perfect :)
Over here, we have ALL seasons. Rainy sweather weather fall, snowstorm crazy cold winter, warming spring, and CRAZY HOT HUMID summer. We have them all. Which is not bad... But I could skip winter without a problem. Snow is nice until you have to live in it.What I like the most about where I'm from is my culture. I've talked about that a bit before in this same very topic. I am really proud of my root, and I am very happy that we, as a small little nation surrounded by English, we managed to keep our culture strong. But language aside, I LOVE that I can go 'up north' (like we call it here) in the mountains during summer time. By the lake. We have a family cottage which is like paradise to me. In the winter time, skiing is pretty big around here. But our religion is HOCKEY. LOL I love that. And I LOVE Montréal as a city. Lots of stuff to do, and you eat VERY WELL. =)
That's cool! :) in my place now, there's a typhoon. Heavy rains here.. So it's cold here now. I just feel Summer and Rainy season. Not really Spring or Fall. loldo you guys speak other languages? aside from English.
@MC- I know I say this now and it would be different if I lived with a bunch of snow but I would love to see a winter with snow. I hate it when winter time is here and I can go out in a thin long sleeved shirt with no jacket. I have some awesome jackets that I would love to wear but can't because it's too warm.
OH GOSH MICHELE!!! Love it!! HAHA :PLeslie, I know what you mean... I'd probably think just the same if I was in your position. And Christmas without snow??? Just... Weird! LOL :P That's the only time of the year I want snow. From December 20th until January 5th. =)

We've had one Christmas in the past 8 years that I have lived here with almost snow like five days before it snowed but it melted in a few days. I like it here though bc usually we have 2-3 snow storms that leaves enough to play but not enough to be crazy and school ismalways cxld so kids can play.
You can have our!! Colorado is blizzard country lol. I like it, I like the cold... but I miss Texas where you get rain and that's it.

Grew up is- Colorado, Oregon, Minnesota and Idaho. Lived in GA, FL, NC, TX, VA, WA, AL and of course Iraq a couple times lol.
I currently live in Colorado, but I will always consider Oregon home. I miss is there the most.
