I have a tough time seeing Radcliffe in the role. Not at all who I pictured when reading the book. Ig is more of a slacker type, and I haven't been impressed with Radcliffe's acting chops. I do like Aja, who also directed High Tension.
Honestly, it's not who I pictured when reading it either. But, while I enjoyed the novel quite a bit, I really wasn't all that fond of Ig and I think that Radcliffe could play the brooding, whiny at times, role of Ig fairly well. I didn't particularly like his Harry Potter character a whole lot as he got older, but I still rooted for him.
Not exactly how I pictured Ig, but I think it could work. I didn't love Radcliffe when he was playing Harry Potter, but I thought he was really good in Woman in Black.
I agree with Angie, Radcliffe did a great job pulling away from the Harry Potter character in the Woman in Black. So I think he would make a pretty good Ig. I look forward to more info on this movie.
It's not how I pictured Ig, but I'm still excited that's they're going to make it a movie, so I'll definitely go see it whenever it comes out.

I think that's it's more that I don't see Radcliffe as a sexual character at all and Ig had his moments. If they do the movie true to form we're definitely looking at a rated R flick and I just have a hard time seeing Harry potter like that. I know I should separate them but I can't seem to.

Totally! I saw Franco or even Johnny Depp.
I'm not sure I see him playing Ig. He doesn't have any edge to him. I just think he's kind of a bland actor. I think Joseph Gordon-Levitt would bring just the right amounts of humor and pathos to the role. For Marrin, I think Kate Mara would be perfect for the doomed character. As for Lee, I think Paul Dano ("Little Miss Sunshine" and "There Will Be Blood") has that perfect, unassuming, blank canvas of a face to embody the horrifying banal evil of Hill's antagonist.
For me I pictured a slumpy kind of character, more of a Seth Rogen..not Radcliffe.!Edit: Wait a minute, I am probably
thinking of Heart Shaped Box...:)
I have faith in Radcliffe to pull it off.. He's a fine actor and the role shouldn't be all that too demanding...Looking forward too seeing how the story adapts to the big screen though :-)
I have come to terms with this news. When I first read about this I think I had just recently watched Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (for one reason or another) and just couldn't connect goofy wizard student with hungover demonic troubled young man. I have since added it to my imdb 'watchlist' and will be seeing this opening weekend fo sho. :)

I have the whole series on dvd, and it is hilarious.
I cant picture radcliffe playing Ig, I cant say I have ever seen a film with him in as Harry Potter doesn't interest me at all and I havent got round to seeing the woman in black, he just doesn't look like Ig thoughI would however go with Joseph Gordon Levitt though, that's a pretty good shout

After watching Hesher last week, I definitely agree.

That movie was intense. Joe definitely has the acting chops.
the movie got a good review:http://bloody-disgusting.com/reviews/...
Quote: "With Horns, Aja has shown his greatest leap as a filmmaker thus far. The delicacy in which he handles the love story is prime example. Despite its share of contrivances, I was invested in these characters and captivated by this unusual tale. Horns is an audacious, wonderfully twisted romantic horror fantasy. It’s unlike anything you’ve ever seen and probably will see from the genre in some time."
I'm excited for the flim I think Radcliff will do a great job , he is really showing us his talent as an actor now. Though I am unsure about the casting for Lee and Terry. The actor who play's Lee looks more like I pictured Terry and vice versa.

I can see it. Seems like a pretty good casting decision to me. It's directed by Alexandre Aja who directed The Hills Have Eyes (the first one, not the second) so I don't think that he'll hold back at all on any of the gritty details!
