Mivie fine you will be laughing by the end though.
they arent all from harry potter.
Remus Lupin
Sirius Black
Will Treaty (rangers apperentice)
Will Stanton (dark is rising)
Neal of Queenscove (protector of the small)
George Cooper (song of the lioness)
the list continues but these are the main ones. see. I told you you would laugh.

message 103: by Mivie (new) - rated it 5 stars

Mivie Im glad im not alone. lol

Gretchen When I was 12 it was Gilbert Blythe, "Anne books". He was so charming and sweet, there was not anything he wouldn't do for Anne. Plus the actor in the t.v series was cute. So I married a sweet charming man with curly black hair and blue eyes, who would do anything for me or our daughter. I tease him all the time that he is lucky I read the Anne books as a girl because for me it was love at first site.
Haven't had a literary crush since, no need to. Girls don't settle (boys either) there are people out there who will treat you with respect and honor.

Jer Wilcoxen Not a lot of fella's have chimed in on this, so I'll pipe up just to show that you ladies aren't the only half of humanity that can admit to it.

Friday Baldwin (from Robert Heinlein's 'Friday')
Menolly (from Anne McCafferey's Pern Series)
Nicole Shea (from Chris Claremont's First Flight series)

The point's been made, but I think it's the same for men; we crush on those characters who's traits we most admire.

It doesn't have to be a HP character, just a book character.

That's very rude....

Crystal I think it is sign of an entertaining read (and in some cases a sign of a well-written book) if you're able to develop a crush on a person.

I had the biggest crush on Sam from Shiver, until I read Divergent, and then Four became my Number One!

I have to admit, as an adolescent I crushed Legolas too (I always wished there was more about him in the books). He was alright in the movie versions as well...

message 120: by Chrisna (new)

Chrisna Oh I have a list of book boyfriends as long as my arm. I think all readers do this its a way to identify with the story. Thats why there is so much fanfiction out there we like to insert ourselves into the story and be or be with lol one of the characters.

Rachelle i cant help but dream of harry potter and gale hawthorne. i wished they were real.

message 122: by Alicia (new) - rated it 5 stars

Alicia Haha, I used to have major crushes on Harry Potter and Victor Krum.

Marija *Why you mad, why you sad* I think it's easier to have crush on male character (girls) then on female (boys).Female character often can be annoying but male is really interesting and they keep girls on the ground...Even if sometimes is too hard :p

You think only male characters can be interesting? Huh?
It definitely isn't any harder to have crushes on female characters than male ones, there are plenty of perfectly good girls around in fiction.

I know but most books I've read got some annoying female characters who's only think about same things over and over... "Should I be with him?" "Should I broke up with him?" and that goes on and on and on!Just decide what's a big deal about it

message 126: by Reich (new) - rated it 5 stars

Reich In Harry Potter, I absolutely loved Sirius Black. I keep imagining him being a teenager at Hogwarts. Urgh, what a heart-breaker he would have been! <3

But, I must say that my book boyfriends include Jace (The Mortal Instruments), Will Herondale (Infernal Devices), and Simon Basset (The Duke and I) ^_^ <3

Allison Never any Harry Potter characters but Mr. Darcy (Pride & Prejudice), Captain Wentworth (Persuasion), Dr. Allan Woodcourt (Bleak House), Atticus Finch (To Kill a Mockingbird) Peeta Mellark (Hunger Games Trilogy) sigh....are there any real men out there like these????????????

Epohzamboneeneez Lia wrote: "no only people who have no life have to have a crush on someone that is not real"

PERCY JACKSON IS REAL!!! I LOVE YOU PERCY

Epohzamboneeneez Kayla wrote: "I love Neville Longbottom! I love real people who resemble him, too."

I agree Neville Longbottom is one of the best characters in harry potter because he appears so funny and clumsy but is truly a hero and could have also been the chosen one which would mean the harry potter books would actually be called Neville Longbottom, unless harry potter is really Neville Longbottom in disguise and Neville is actually harry, so it was actually neville with the scar not harry, and it was really harry who lived with his grandmother. has anyone else thought about this predicament?

Faolwan Patch from Hush, hush :P

Akhil teja annabeth---- percy jackson
hermoine granzer----- Harry potter
