Natural Born Killers! Anyone else? Does anyone know if Ben Elton was referencing that movie in particular? Was this book written after NBK was made?

Especially the scene where a woman is dancing seductively in a redneck bar, and violence ensues... It's been years since I've seen the movie, but the similar scene from NBK immediately popped into my head.

I read it for a class, and I was taught that it was based loosely on the films of Quentin Tarantino and Oliver Stone.

Yeah, I could see Natural Born Killers' influence too. Ben Elton wasn't really subtle about it lol
