Sevinar | 2 comments http://first7500words.blogspot.com/ is a blog where authors can submit their work for the 7500 word challenge: Is your book able to capture a reader's attention in the first critical pages?

I read the first 7500 words of writers' works and rate them based on several different elements. Authors who submit work for the challenge can also be interviewed. Please read the about/submissions tab carefully before sending me an email. I look forward to working with you :)

Shay (icylilies) | 94 comments Do I have to be a published author in order to participate? I started writing a novel over a year ago and I'm hoping to finish it this summer.

Lyn Horner | 24 comments Hi, Jennifer. Are you willing to read a cross-genre submission? My novels are western historical romances with paranormal elements.

Sevinar | 2 comments Answers to both are "yes!"

Rike, if you do submit an unpublished-as-of-yet work to me, I will put a notice at the top of the post, if you look at my blog you will see I've done about three unpublished novels so far, one in the beta stages. I'd be happy to look at your work and I do follow ups too, if you want to be re-evaluated after it is published. :)

Lyn, I would love to take a look at your interesting mix of genres! If you submit a cross-genre novel, I will be sure to tag it as multiple genres so your readers will be able to find it easily. :)

L.Y. Levand (lylevand) I saw that you're not doing too much with your submissions at the moment, but I'm thinking about submitting a few (provided they meet your minimum word count, lol) for you to do when you get to them. :)
