      Welcome Jo Ann!

Joann- like Rusalka said, there aren't many rules here. You don't have to list all your books, but it does help you become a bit more organized, and it helps other members find books for their lists.

You don't have to list all your books, but it does help you become a bit more organized, and it helps other members find books for their lists. You're allowed to build your list as you go. I've kinda been building my list as I go, after deciding I hated some of the books I picked out initially and needing to choose new ones.
All genres are allowed.
There's no points here.
You don't have it all preplanned out, either.
Welcome Joann :-) I've used this challenge to oblige myself to read more of the many many books collecting dust on my shelves - have fun with your list!

I have about 1 or 2 more books to go on another challenge I'm finishing up I've been working on it since February and its been fun but I'm ready for something new. So while I'm doing that I'm going to start building my list for here I did peek at some of your lists ...ok.. all of yours lists... :) and you guys have some excellent reading ideas!

Now your making me want to get a little crazy with my list. I actually do have some books on my shelf at home that have been collecting dust that need to get read and will be perfect for this challenge. I thought I would be able to keep things simple with my list but now after looking at all your lists I'm not sure if that is going to happen.... :)
Hi Jo Ann and Welcome. It looks like everyone was very thorough in getting your questions answered.
Hi Jo Ann and Welcome. It looks like everyone was very thorough in getting your questions answered. For me, I just keep changing things as I go and find that one book or country naturally leads me to another.
My main focus is to read, enjoy and experience new cultures even if that means remaining in one country for three weeks when I had initially planned on being there for one -- Asia and India to name a couple.
I probably won't make my goal of 52, but there's always next year.

Louise wrote: "(And I think this will be a 2 year challenge for a lot of us"And for those of us aiming to get 52 in by year end, it may be a repeat addiction. I am having so much fun, and I have traded out a bunch of books countries, so I already have a stockpile for next year...
Hi JoAnn. I feel much like Mikki and Beth as to how this challenge will ultimately progress. I set a goal for myself of 30 countries for this year and I'm already at 22. I'll probably just keep reading more books and more countries when I complete my 2012 goal. I definitely have enough books and ideas to keep me going well into next year.

I love this challenge idea I know I'm getting started kind of late so I doubt if I will read 52 books by the end of the year but I don't mind giving it a try. :) Just a few questions.
1. Do I have to list all 52 countries and books I will read...I guess what I'm trying to say is do I have to have all my books preplanned ahead that I will read for this challenge?
2. Can I build my list as I go? I don't mind preplanning a little ahead just not the whole list. A lot of times my mood and what reading time I have available decides what I will read next.
3. Are all genres allowed?
4. Is there a point system involved here? ( I hope not )... :)
Sorry I'm not trying to be difficult about this its just some of these challenges have so many rules and score keeping requirements when all I want to do is read.
