Welcome Jo Ann!
We don't really have any rules, this is more a of a challenge to get us all to read new things we wouldn't otherwise.
Looking forward to your reads and thoughts!

You're allowed to build your list as you go. I've kinda been building my list as I go, after deciding I hated some of the books I picked out initially and needing to choose new ones.
All genres are allowed.
There's no points here.
You don't have it all preplanned out, either.

(And I think this will be a 2 year challenge for a lot of us! :-)

Now your making me want to get a little crazy with my list. I actually do have some books on my shelf at home that have been collecting dust that need to get read and will be perfect for this challenge. I thought I would be able to keep things simple with my list but now after looking at all your lists I'm not sure if that is going to happen.... :)

For me, I just keep changing things as I go and find that one book or country naturally leads me to another.
My main focus is to read, enjoy and experience new cultures even if that means remaining in one country for three weeks when I had initially planned on being there for one -- Asia and India to name a couple.
I probably won't make my goal of 52, but there's always next year.

And for those of us aiming to get 52 in by year end, it may be a repeat addiction. I am having so much fun, and I have traded out a bunch of books countries, so I already have a stockpile for next year...

Anyway, I now love so much of this international lit that it will always be part of my reading.
I love this challenge idea I know I'm getting started kind of late so I doubt if I will read 52 books by the end of the year but I don't mind giving it a try. :) Just a few questions.
1. Do I have to list all 52 countries and books I will read...I guess what I'm trying to say is do I have to have all my books preplanned ahead that I will read for this challenge?
2. Can I build my list as I go? I don't mind preplanning a little ahead just not the whole list. A lot of times my mood and what reading time I have available decides what I will read next.
3. Are all genres allowed?
4. Is there a point system involved here? ( I hope not )... :)
Sorry I'm not trying to be difficult about this its just some of these challenges have so many rules and score keeping requirements when all I want to do is read.
