The Mortal Instruments Series: Your Rating?

This is one of my favorite series and I wanted to see how other people like it and what there ratings would be from 1-10 and why?

my rating would be 9 and 3/4
I really liked this series. IT had a strong romance but it ALSO had action. So it ranges with different audiences.

I'd probably give it a 7.5
I really did like it, I just have a couple problems with the series.
I thought there was a lot of stuff in there that was very obvious. The whole series I knew Jace wasn't Valentine's son. That was very obvious. And if he wasn't I knew a lot of people (like me) would be extremely grossed out.
I also didn't like how they killed of Valentine so easily in City of Glass. I thought he was an amazing villain, and wanted him around longer.
I haven't read anything past City of Glass yet (I really need to go to the library), so I'm curious to see who/what the new villain is (please don't spoil for me!!).
I also sometimes got annoyed with Clary. Sometimes she just really got on my nerves. She'd just stand there sometimes and let everyone else do the work for her. Otherwise, she's a great protagonist.
But, it's a great book. I really love the sense of humor!! Jace had me cracking up! Simon too.
Clare's writing style is also very good. =)
Can't wait to read the next books!
Random question: are the Infernal Devices books good? I kind of want to read them, but I want to know if it's good or not.

You know, it really depends. For some reason, I was being weird and only read the first book, then just totally stopped reading the series. But, I think I'm gonna give a chance. You should, too. :)

infernal devices gets so much better just got to keep reading and i give the mortal instuments a 10 loved them soo much!
