Tori ran all the way her. She hugged her knees close to her chest and started crying. She had no idea why. She took a sharp object out of her bag she had and cut her left arm and the blood instantly started coming out of where she cut.

Gauge's bare feet -he'd long since taken off his dress shoes and socks- sunk into the soft, nearly white sand. His gaze moved out along the clear water, taking in the gentle waves crashing along the shore. His snakebites gleamed, the silver coloring reflecting the moonlight. A breeze drifted over the air and he inhaled quietly, his hands working to loosen the black tie that had become suffocating. It was a wonder he'd lasted this long with the stiff tux. He turned his head, suddenly hearing the sound of crying. A dark figure was sitting in the sand, arms wrapped around their legs. "Hey, are you okay?" His voice rippled through the air.
Tori saw a boy in the distance. She tried to stop crying and wipe her tears away. But that made her cry even more.
Gauge frowned as the sound of the crying intensified. "Are you okay?" The question was asked again and he jogged closer, wondering if the person was hurt. The moonlight lit up a side of his face, leaving the other in shadows. The person was too far to really make out, only an outline. Damn, I knew I should have gotten those glasses when I'd had the chance. His vision had always been a little blurry but this was just downright sad.
Gauge gave a small smile. "You don't sound too 'okay.'"He stopped a few feet away, able to see the girl a little bit better. He ran his fingers through his gelled up hair, his dark black mask and jet colored hair clashing with his cloud white tux. He was getting the distinct impression she didn't exactly want him there. "Is there anything I can do to help?" She'd sounded so. . . . Defeated when she'd been crying.
"Yes,"She lied wanting the person to go away. As the person started coming closer she debated getting up and going away. She hoped they wouldn't see she cut herself. But she stayed and tried to stop crying again.((Sorry accidentally deleted my comment))
"No there isn't,"She said. Being stupid she suddenly looked down at the cut and knew she drew attention to it. She wanted the boy to go away away.
Gauge's eyes flicked down, catching sight of the scar due to the blood. "Can you let me help you with that?" He flashed another small smile, not about to ask questions. "Than I'll be on my way?" It was obvious the girl wanted to be alone and he would get out of her hair soon enough. But he didn't want to simply leave her there while she was bleeding. It was too much like seeing his younger sisters in pain after an angry spurge from his father. The exact details didn't matter at this point.
Tori wanted to say no because it wouldn't matter. But she said,"Sure." she knew this was going to be one of the last living faces she would see.
(I'm just going to assume she cut her forearm ?) Gauge walked closer and crouched down beside her. "I like your hair, by the way." The tattoos on his hand flashed as he lightly picked up her arm, his touch gentle as he examined the cut. "I'm sorry if this hurts." He concentrated on the exact spot where her skin was split, focusing on the air molecules surrounding it. With a small little push, the air pressed down and sealed the cut back together again. The only trace left behind was the blood smears on her skin. Pulling off his tie, he wiped away the blood with the makeshift cloth. He was a little winded from healing her, but it wasn't too bad.
"Thank you,"She said with a helpless look on her face. Tori really hoped he would leave soon so she could go and continue with her plans. But she also hoped he would stay so she wouldn't have the chance to do it.
Gauge looked at her with his dark brown eyes and smiled again. "No problem." Setting his bloodied tie to the side, he stood up and brushed sand from his white pants. Turning to go, he paused, the moonlight flashing across his face again. "Whatever it was the hurt you, it's not worth it." His words were quiet, loud enough for her to hear but no one else. Fixing his tux jacket, he started walking away again, striding toward his shoes.
Tori knew he was right but she didn't want to admit. She decided to go to the forest but she had to get something first. She knew that this was going to happen.
Lune was on the far side of the beach, and was practicing her elemental powers, making shallow waves, and making them grow bigger by the second.
Deirdre walked a few feet away from the water's edge, her heels long since having been kicked off in the sand. Maybe it was thanks to her past, but water had never been much of a problem for her, despite her division. Her hair brushed back away from her bare shoulders, wind brushing through it. Behind her mask, her blue eyes glanced back to see a Water Elemental practicing with the waves. She continued onward, praying the Elemental wouldn't see her. It wouldn't be very hard to figure out that Deirdre was a Fire Elemental.
(( Sorry quick question does she mean she can see Damon???? or is that another imaginary elemental? ))
Damon was fed up of the ball, the ladies either asked for him to dance and he didn't want to or he did dance but the ladies were terrible dancers. He needed some air and the beach was for him. He kept his whole get up on and walked along the sand, seeing the water reach out to him, flinging his jacket over his shoulder, feeling a little hot.
Caitlin wrote: "(( OHHHH Got it my bad i didn't see that post ;D ))"(Lols, it's all good ^^)
Deirdre paused, hearing the sound of something hitting the soft sand. She turned her head, her hair sliding over her shoulder as her bright blue eyes scanned the beach for the source. Seeing yet another Water Elemental, she reached up to readjust her mask. The look on her face was utter "Deer in the headlights," but she couldn't help it. Why had I come to the one place Fire Elementals shouldn't be? Her feet dug into the grainy sand, hoping her deep red dress didn't scream for as much attention as she was thinking it did. Please, not today. I just want to get through the night, unnoticed and undetected.
Damon took a deep breath of the salty yet sea-weedy air. He kicked at the sand with his shiny black leather shoes, getting a dusting of sand over them. He looked out at the water seeing a water elemental playing with waves, before looking up ahead of himself briefly, seeing a drop dead gorgeous girl in front of him. He paused in his walking and just looked her over, a little in surprise. The red in her dress, letting him know she was a fire. He gave her a charming smile. "Hi." He called, as he began walking again.
Deirdre continued walking along the edge of the water, pushing her hair back out of her eyes. She paused, half turning around at the sound of a guy's voice. Seeing the Water Elemental, she couldn't help a blink of shock. The old Deirdre probably would have caught one glance at him looking at her like that and kicked sand all over him. But the key word there was old Deirdre. With a small smile, she inhaled the sweet ocean air. "Hey." Her voice was soft, probably getting lost somewhere in the wind. She turned back around, wondering if maybe that was the guy's polite way of telling her to get the hell off their beach. Her eyes flickered toward the boardwalk and she continued moving, going more so toward's that direction.
Damon smiled as he heard the sweetness to her voice as it traveled through the air. He watched her turn back around heading for the board walk and frowned slightly to himself. He picked up his pace a little and managed to catch up with her. "Hi...Are you avoiding the ball as well?" He asked with a warm and friendly smile.
Hearing his footsteps speed up, Deirdre -against her better judgement- paused to let him catch up. Blue eyes looking up from the ground to meet his gaze, she couldn't help but smile slightly back at him. "I. . . Yeah, I guess you could say that." The looks people had shot in her direction at the ballroom had been pity at best and disgust at worst. Then again, those glances seemed to follow her everything. Deirdre had no clue why he was avoiding the ballroom- girls would probably lick the floor for a chance to dance with him. "You're a Water Elemental, right?" She watched him out of the corner of her eye as she continued forward.
Damon chuckled deeply as he looked up at her, catching her blue eyes with his own sea green eyes. "Well I know I have a feasible reason for not wanting to be in the ball room, but why would a beautiful, gem of a women like you want to miss out on the dancing." He asked as he looked down at the sand, walking over in the same direction as her. He glanced at her as he looked out at the water briefly before meeting her gaze. "Yes I am and you a Fire Elemental...correct?" He said. "Forgive me my name is Damon." He said giving a bow of respect.
Deirdre blushed slightly. "I bet you say that to all the girls." Her eyes sparkled, teasing, as she smiled. It'd been awhile since she'd relaxed. But when what he was really asking finally seeped in, she lowered her gaze again. "Don't let it come as a surprise to you when I say not many people were interested in dancing with someone like me." And by, "someone like me," she'd meant the daughter of two mass murders. But she wasn't looking for pity. She looked back up into his breathtakingly green eyes and tried for another smile, though it was a lot let lighthearted. "And what's your excuse? The girls were probably lining up for a chance to dace with you." She nodded, her hair brushing back against the wind. "Yeah. It's nice to meet you, Damon. I'm Deirdre."
Damon chuckled deeply as he looked out ahead of him, shaking his head softly. "No on the contrary I mostly avoid women in the ball rooms, every time I dance they continuously injure my feet with their heels." He joked. But in fact he was surprised that no one had taken up the opportunity to dance with someone as lovely as herself. "And the pleasure is all mine miss Deirdre." He said taking her hand gently as he placed a soft kiss to the back of her hand. "Well I suppose I have no excuse but I am not one to be forced to dance, I prefer to choose when I dance and who I dance with." He said. "But I find it a shame no one has snapped you up as a dance partner yet. He held out his hand. "Would you care to accompany to the dance floor?" He asked, his eyes friendly and his smile warm and welcoming.
("Dace" ? Lols sorry, can't type today. Or any day, for that matter.) Deirdre smiled at the sound of his deep laugh. She rose an eyebrow in mock surprise. "You mean, you don't like having your feet stepped on?" She laughed, pushing her hair back again. She shivered slightly when he kissed the back of her hand, her big blue eyes from behind her mask glancing over at him. Quite the gentleman. She wouldn't have pegged him as such, but she was beginning to realize surprises might actually be a good thing. Her eyes flickered to take in the light look in eyes and warming smile on his face. Despite what her brain was telling her, to simply say no due to all the stares they would probably get, she found herself wanting to go with Damon. "Actually, that sounds great. I'd love to go with you." Her voice was soft before she stopped, her eyes scanning the sand for her shoes. Spotting them, she picked up her dress and jogged over the sand to them, her fiery hair trailing behind her. Leaning down, she picked them up and dusted them off while walking back to Damon.
Damon smiled as he watched her eyes spark with interest in his offer, actually finding himself wanting to dance with someone as delightful as herself. Most of the women in the ball room were irritating and obnoxious, nothing like her. His eyes gained an intrigued look as she actually accepted his offer, fully expecting her to decline his offer. He watched with a slight mesmerised look as she ran to get her shoes, seemingly wanting to run his hands through her wondrous red tresses. He offered his arm up for her to take to escort her back into the ball room, pleased to have made her smile. She looked beautiful when she smiled, especially with the way the light landed over her.
Deirdre glanced down, seeing him hold out his arm for her. Smiling, she slipped her arm in with his, still holding her shoes with her other hand. "Tell me." Still smiling slightly, she looked up into those distracting green eyes. "Should I be expecting a fan club or two?" She bit down on her bottom lip to keep from laughing. If there was one person she would think to seriously have a fan club, it would be Damon. The sand was soft under her feet as she walked along side him, the breeze from the sea brushing her hair along to one side of her face. (Wanna post a response at the ballroom?)
Damon smiled when she accepted to place her arm in his as he continued to walk on towards the ball room. He looked at her at her curious question, before laughing deeply. "I doubt that I have a fan club, there are more appealing men than I, I can assure you that would be more likely to have fan club." He said smiling over at her as he lead her into the ball room.
Lune glanced over at the two people, and flinched when she saw Deidre. She glared at her, then went back to her waves, trying to control herself. It was hard though, because she had such resentment for the fire elementalists. She closed her eyes and parted the waves, and walked in, then walked back out.
Varick watched the waves from above the starting point of the sand, not bothering to get any closer. Why would he want the grainy shit all over his clothes? He could see a Water Elemental practicing in the distance and she didn't seem to keen on the idea of anyone interrupting. So he kept his mouth shut, sharp golden eyes continuing to watch the water crash into the sand before slipping back. It''s redundancy was a nice change of pace. For a second, the thought of Hynter flashed through his mind. He wondered how she was holding up by herself- probably better then himself.
Anilee looked at the water and smiled, she always liked the way the wind looked over the water. She took off the sparkley heels she had on earlier before she walked along the beach. It didn't seem particularly empty at the moment, not that she cared much. She made a tiny tornado of air over the water and grinned to herself. She glanced around the beach again and saw a guy. She flashed a quick, simply, and kind of flirty smile over at him.
Varick's gold eyes glanced over, catching sight of a girl take off her heels before beginning to walk along the beach. His lips curved up into a smirk as he glanced over at the water, seeing the swirling air she'd created. It was definitely different, not something he'd seen before. He raised a dark eyebrow at her smile, one corner of his lips lifting. His hands patted his pants pockets, searching for the pack of cigarettes he knew had to be somewhere. When he didn't come across them, he rolled his eyes. Hynter had probably thrown away his last pack, sick of hearing him say he's stop tomorrow.
Even half a smile was invitation enough for Anilee. With one last flourish of the wind on the water, she walked over to the guy, picking up her long, light blue dress so it wouldn't get sandy. "Hi," she said brightly and innocently with another smile, her eyes sparkling. They were bright blue, almost blue enough to rival a clear summer sky. Nothing about Anilee was shy, she never had been. She was as free as the breeze. This guy also didn't seem quite the happiest and since she was Anilee the Air elemental, she had to change that.
Lune let the water drop gently, and sat down, feeling a bit tired. She watched the air elemental go over to the boy, and frowned in disgust. She was not interested in finding something like love. She just wanted to find those two snake-hearts who had killed her family. She stood back up and made a loop with the water, then made it slap the air with it.
The wind over the water trick was definitely one that was intriguing to Varick. Looking back over at the girl in time to see her picking up her dress and walk toward him, he slipped his hands into his pockets. "Hello." His gold eyes clashed with her blue ones, looking quite the opposite of her innocence. His dark eyebrow was still cocked- the girl was beautiful. But in his experience, beautiful meant trouble. They normally assumed they'd get more then he was willing to give, such as, say, commitment. To hell with commitment.
Lune cocked his head over to Anilee. Pretty, flirting girls were always the bad ones. She sighed, glad that she hadn't been brought up like that. She flicked her wrist, and water levitated in the air, creating all sorts of patterns.
((*snorts* the love for Anilee is almost unbearable.))Anilee heard the water slapping and turned, watching the girl slap the air with it. It was all she could do to not make a face at her. Typical, she thought. She turned back to the guy with a smile. She looked at his golden eyes, not something she was used to seeing, but they were a pretty color. "How are you tonight?" she asked him.
((XD))Lune looked up at the sky, and dropped the water. She had worked three hours on her bending today. She picked up her bag and decided to go out to a different part of town. ((Anyone to roleplay with somewhere? :)))
(Lols, it's not really Anilee in particular. More like any pretty girl xD) Varick's eyes flicked over to see the Water Elemental still messing with water, too far away to really make out their actions. He looked back at the stunning girl from behind his mask, his lips still curved into a half smile in response to her seemingly innocent question. "Getting better." He was definitely a man of little to no words. "How about you?"
((Haha Oooh :) ))Anilee watched his golden eyes flicker away, probably to the Water Elemental again. She absentmindedly pushed up her silver mask. She looked pleased with his half smile. "Well that's good!" she smiled, "and I'm good, thank you." She really didn't care if someone didn't like to talk, she could make up for it. She wasn't exactly looking for a relationship, she just liked talking and flirting. Despite being almost 20, she still had a lot of growing up to do.
