Both links always take me to the same one, which is Janets I think. I am using a PC.ETA: I've tried logging off and then back on Goodreads and closing down and opening a new internet page, but it still takes me to the same blog.

At least I'm getting plenty of visitors ;)

I got lots of hits last night...er, I mean my blog did. Thanks, Simon.
I get a different blog on different devices (iPad, Mac, PC, phone...) but always the same blog on that device
I had to click 8 times before I was taken to a duplicate site, seems to work fine for me ( that's on my android tablet, haven't tried it on mac or pc yet)
Just tried it on my coal-fired Linux notebook, and got no duplication at all. Eventually had so many tabs open that the ancient version of Firefox could no longer cope and crashed
Can someone who was getting the same site every time have another go for me. I have adjusted the dilitheum crystals so that they are in line with the mousetrap
OK, is anyone there who can try again...Here is the link again
Abracadabra take me to a random group web site!
Getting this on the macInsecure $ENV{PATH} while running with -T switch at ./rand.pl line 46.
all greek to me
Sorry Simon, DD's everytime.... Will clear my cache and try again maybe... Is it a prob at our end do you think?

Thanks Rosemary, I have been breaking it while I try to fix it.
Bacally (and seriously), it seems that my random number generator is not working on everyones computers. It uses a pseudo random number generator (list really) and needs to be able to seed it. I need to find something to seed it with or else implement a real random number generator (which I would rather not do).
it is weird. i have just tried it on my laptop and i get a different blog than on my ipad but i still get the same one each time on here too!! Ian this time :-)
In case it has anything to do with the browser, I'm using Chrome and Safari. Result's the same either way though.
Simon: you might want to check in your server logs that you are actually getting a 'hit' when they click. (I strongly suspect that you are not - the redirect instruction is being cached somewhere, either by the browser or by the ISP.)It is really, really, really unlikely to be a problem with your random number code - SELECT IS NOT BROKEN!
Then I clicked on the random button on each and had Beverley > Sadie > Phil > Vernon I did it again later and had the same and it goes round and round.

I get the same - the 'in-blog' random link just gives me six blogs over and over.
And I went from me, clicking random on everyones and got to Shaun > JS > Sadie > Phil > Vernon > Beverley
Some more click-ons were:Cornelius > Stu > Ian > Cornelius > Stu (a very small ring that one)
Karen > Kate > GR > Vernon > Beverley
Does anyone else have un-random randoms?

Not so that you would notice ;-)
Gingerlily (or Cyberlily..) wrote: "Was that Philip - could have sworn I saw him for a moment..."That's the best way to see me.
My provider (virginmedia) is using Perl 4.xI really need to find someone who has a half decent service.....
Spent hours looking at it this afternoon.
Will come back to it later. A big yellow ball has just appeared in the sky.
I just checked mine out. Sampled about 20 times. I seem to have complete randomness. Or is it randomosity Ignite?
