Anita (anitanodiva) | 1619 comments As it turns out Against the Storm is a reread for me. I just hate that! By the time I figure out I've read it, I'm into it again. That is one of the reasons I love Goodreads - I can track what I've read. Against the Storm was great, even the second time around!

❤️ Dorsey aka Wrath Lover Reviews ❤️ I'm in a book funk!! Problem is I don't know what genre I'm in the mood for so I think I'll take a break and reread a favorite from Linda Howard or Kristen Ashley book till I decide :)

Janeiowa | 5009 comments I just finished Robyn Carr's latest, and I think it may be, of her books I've read, her best. I've read all of her Virgin River and a couple of her others, but this second one in her Thunder Point series is filled with believable characters who face very "real" problems. The Newcomer (Thunder Point #2) by Robyn Carr

Against the Storm is #4 in the Against the... series by Kat Martin. I really like her.

Anita (anitanodiva) | 1619 comments Dorsey, I know what you mean about the book funk. I thought to try the historical romance genre (I have a large pile of them) and read The Lost Duke of Wyndham by Julia Quinn. I didn't care for it. The romance wasn't very hot. The Lost Duke of Wyndham (Two Dukes of Wyndham, #1) by Julia Quinn The thing that kept me going was that I kept seeing Jack as a young Pierce Brosnan. I'm now rereading Getting Lucky by Susan Andersen. I really love her books. Getting Lucky (Marine #2) by Susan Andersen

I've been reading the Game Of Thrones series and I just finished the third book. They're ok not my kind of books but my family wanted to start watching the TV show so I figured I can read them and see if they vary too much from the books. We've watched the first season and so far they're basically the same. The books are so long that they take a lot of energy out of you and I wasn't into the show because I knew what happens but it was fun telling my family what was going to happen before it did and ruin it for them, lol.

Janeiowa | 5009 comments Just finished a free one... Bridesmaid Lotto (McMaster the Disaster #1) by Rachel Astor

Is the Heist a new book? I have read many of Evonovich's books, especially the Stephanie Plum books, but she got kind of stupid. The antics were always the same and Stephanie never grew as a bounty hunter.

message 375: by Anita (new)

Anita (anitanodiva) | 1619 comments The Heist is the latest by Janet Evanovich with Lee Goldberg and is really good. The heroine is an FBI agent named Kate O'Hare and the hero is Nicolas Fox, an international crook. Very intelligent plot. Think White Collar meets Leverage.

message 376: by Dee (new)

message 378: by Dee (new)

Dee Sauter (indeathaddict) | 7583 comments How is it Kathy? I read a couple of her books, can't remember the name, but it was about some princess of fairies. She needed to get pregnant. It seemed all they did was have SEX. Don't get me wrong I am not a prude, by no means, but I don't want to read about it on every other page. That was the last time I read her.

Anita (anitanodiva) | 1619 comments I picked up several Tara Janzen books at a library book sale. Currently reading Crazy Hot. Crazy Hot (Steele Street, #1) by Tara Janzen It is about a covert group with a thing for old muscle cars. So far, the writing is a bit prodding, but the plot is intriguing and the romance hot.
