I’m re-reading Virgin River and can now picture the characters from Netflix. Charmaine is the one who doesn’t really fit for me, and Preacher is now a lot thinner than I first pictured him in my mind.

But, OH...Martin Henderson is swoon worthy for me. Ahhh...🥰

Just finished The Life Intended by Kristin Harmel. Enjoyable story about widow who finds way to move forward from her loss. Now listening at scribd to After Sundown by Linda Howard. Scary read in the middle of pandemic!!!

I’ve been re-reading Carr’s Virgin River series. I was offered Sundown, but passed on it for now. The reviews I’ve seen lead me to believe it’s not something I will enjoy, so I’ll let others on the wait list enjoy it.

I have started the series The Others by Anne Bishop. Oh wow are these books amazing. Not really PNR so much as fantasy, but they are very engaging and I love the characters.

I really enjoyed this one too. I do miss the style of the older Linda Howard books, like McKenzie's Mountain and Mr. Perfect.

Wow! 4 star for sure. Very unusual romance .. but that takes a backseat to the mystery and suspense.

If its anything like Dream a Little Dream or Heroes Are My Weakness, then I'm all in.
If its something like Hot Shot, Glitter Baby or What I Did for Love, then probably it will be a dissapointment for me.

I had it on a digital borrow, but disappointed with it so much it became a dnf. I was in need of a light and happy, and as you said, this is not.

Dance Away with Me is definitely in the "Hot Shot", "Glitter Baby" and "What I Did for Love" vein of her writing. It may be a challenge for you. I was glad to be forewarned about it and I was able to set aside my personal expectations. It is really a Women's Fiction type of book.

Finally read Cry No More. I rated it 4 stars and am sorry that I let the subject matter keep me from reading this Linda Howard classic for so many years.
Diaz is not my favorite hero but he shaped up .. great ending.

I found an old movie based on Linda Howard's Loving Evangeline on Amazon Prime. Great, and I do mean great, liberties were taken with the plot, but it was a great way to pass an afternoon.

Glad you finally read Cry No More, Nancy :) The ending of CNM made me kinda mad that LH finished at that point...at the same time it was bittersweet and reader could imagine how the scene played on from there. One of my fav books by LH for sure.
