Me too Anita! I'm on her #3 Karma now. I have a few other standalones in my bag as well.

I loved the early Carly Phillips books, but then she got into some writing that just didn't work for me. I've gone from an auto buy of her books to not even looking at them. Is Karma part of her erotica works or back to the way she used to write, would you say?

I've been reading some books I got from Book Bub suggestions and some were good and some were DNFs.

I haven't read any Carly Phillips since the 2009 final book in the Lucky series. All I've read have been her earlier books.

Karma is part #3 of the Serendipity series. Three brothers and each has a story. Sex but not erotica...good series!

Thanks, Cheri. I checked my spreadsheet, and I've read 38 of Carly Phillips’ books, and own 36 of those. Karma is one and I gave it 4 stars. I need to go back and re-read some of those. I remember liking the Hot Zone books and the Lucky ones, too.

I'm liking this series so far. I'm reading #3 now. I have the last one on order. These are romance but have some suspense/mystery. #2 had a good mystery to it. The US Marshals series she wrote was good up til #3. It was lacking and I stopped there.

Good to know. I love the Romantic-Suspense Lite genre, especially if there is humor. From what I've read of Brenda Novak I would be stunned to find there was any humor in her work.

I just finished #3 and it was really good. her characters do have a little humor in this series. Mostly banter between H & h
