Yaaay! I enjoyed that one.
I'm still playing games. :-)"
As long as your heart is happy, play away! Your books will be there for you when you decide to come back. :)"
So true. Some of my friends are making me feel a little bad. No pressure...just they are so surprised they don't know what to say.

We take a break from things to renew our energy. I personally take a break from people. They tire me out.

Well said! :Thumbs up:

I'm sorry you're stressed out. But, as yall have been telling me, don't worry about not reading anything right now. Do what makes you feel good.

Would love GR input as well, please. :)

I always vote for "Free For All", but I really, really want one month for SciFi and one month for Fantasy.

I found the Great Book of Amber to be exhausting. I gave it to my mom. I think they did the series a disservice by putting it in an omnibus.

While I am usually one to read a series back to back whenever possible, the size and weight of this omnibus is a bit intimidating.
Since I plan to leave it at home, however, I think that will allow for natural breaks as I read other things (when I can) at work or elsewhere.
My biggest hope is that it jump starts my reading again.

I'll let you in on the secret: Mrs. J can't help but give a good recommendation; they don't call her a book pusher for nothin'! But **Shhh** Don't let her know that we know, or she might not go back! ;)

I've just finished Nine Princes in Amber , the first book in The Great Book of Amber . As I stated in my "review", it was quite chaotic & compelling. I am looking forward to book 2.
Jon may be right, however. I may have to take a break between each book, instead of every three or four books like I was planning.

Then its back to Amber with The Guns of Avalon. I haven't decided, however, if I want to lug that huge book to school with me in order to read during my planning period and lunch break, or if I want to wait until I get home tomorrow night.

*book peer pressure*
:-D

Now on to The Guns of Avalon.
Then I'll decide if I want to bend to book peer pressure (**smile**) and read Geekomancy or read Paranormal Addicts & Newbies - Paranormal Romance & UrbanFantasy's YA Debut/First in Series Selection The Iron King.

Oh, I'll neither be reading Geekomancy nor The Iron King next. My youngest son informed me that the advanced reading group in his class will be starting The Hunger Games next week. I've not read it as yet, but hubby has, and he's not sure our boy will enjoy it. For one, our son is in the 4th grade, and two, hes a tender heart like me - especially when it comes to other children, and animals. So, I 'm hoping to get a head start this weekend, and then read along with him and his classmates.

I'm going to take a mental break, then start The Hunger Games either this afternoon or tonight.

To be perfectly honest, the twins were and are easier than the eldest in everything but the actual pregnancies. I didn't appreciate how great my first pregnancy was until my 2nd. LOL.
The key with infant twins is syncing schedules. They ate and slept at the same time, which helped a lot.

At least he went to bed early today. :) Speaking of which, time for sleep for me.

You'll get there. It just takes time.

Hmm.. Well I certainly enjoyed The Hunger Games, but I'm not so sure about letting the twins read it, just yet. Problem is, if I say "no" then my son will be separated from his reading group until they're done (which could take up to 4 weeks - the group meets twice a week, they'll break it up into sections and have assignments based on where they are in the book) and I don't like the idea of disrupting his classwork like that...
I have to think about this.

You'll get there. It just ta..."
Not stressed yet. But a little tired of cleaning up pee. He tells me, but just about exactly when he pees. Perhaps I need to explain that this isn't Hansel and Gretel and he doesn't need a trail to tell him how to get back to what he was doing.

Its so hard to give advice on this topic. Each child is so different.
People kept telling me that my daughter would be easier than my sons...Nope. She took her time too.
Sending moral support your way! Hang in there.

Thanks for the moral support.
