Dee Sauter (indeathaddict) | 1070 comments I'm finding I am reading several different style of books, but none like this. I read mysteries, but not a futuristic cop series. I read books set in the future, but not a series or a cop setting. In fact, there are only a few books I read that are series in nature. When I do, I find I pick it up somewhere in the middle and then have to backtrack.

Quynh (quynh_o) | 1269 comments The futuristic aspect of ID is uniquely its own. I haven't come across other books like it in that aspect. I lean towards mostly romance books with some other suspense/mystery thrillers novels, but In Death is still a big standout from the rest.

Valerie Totally different. I usually don't go in for books that have any sort of romance - I find it tedious. But somehow this series is different. I think maybe it's because Eve really is her own person in a way many women in liturature are not.

Paula (paulatau) | 3 comments Completely different! Right now I'm on a paranormal romance kick, vampires, shifters, Valkyries, etc., but I always listen to the In Death books on my drive in to work as well as throughout the day! Romance stuff can wait until I get home

Sara ♥ (saranicole) | 1038 comments I like to say that I'll read anything that has a love story in it! If the story is compelling and there's at least a mildly romantic element, I'll give it a go, whether it's sci-fi, western, contemporary, fantasy, futuristic police murder mysteries... haha! It's all about the characters and the story for me!

Right now, I'm reading a YA fantasy book and listening to a YA Egyptian Mythology-based book... haha! The majority of what I read is adult historical romances (early 1800s Britain) and a lot of YA contemporary stuff. So... not TERRIBLY similar.

I read a little bit of everything except Sci-Fi. More recently I've been reading most romance genres and mystery/suspense/thrillers, which is my first love. So, this series combines the best of both of my favorite genres.

It's funny, I like WATCHING Sci-Fi!

Sara ♥ (saranicole) | 1038 comments I haven't read a LOT of sci-fi, but I love watching it. I think it's easier to watch, because then you can SEE the advanced technology and whatnot, rather than in print, where the author has to be really great at describing everything. I just read Cinder though, and I loved it!
