Both! I just don't see Lily playing Clary but hopefully she can pull it off *Fingers crossed*. Jamie, he does remind me of Jace but he is okay but just not Hott enough!
So, I found this interview from awhile ago that I was showing all my friends, but there was only one question I was super interested in, so I copied and pasted it for you guys! I just want to know what you're takes on it are."Let's get down to the nitty-gritties. Why is Jamie so perfect for Jace? "
"I have seen his audition tape. They sent it to me because they were so impressed with it, and they wanted to get my feedback. People have been asking me what scene he filmed. The answer is a bunch of different scenes. He did scenes where he had to be fu...nny. He did scenes where he had to be romantic. He did scenes where he had to be angry and badass and he pulled that all off amazingly.
He auditioned with Lily, and he and Lily had incredible chemistry that sort of blazed off the scene. I'm just sitting here watching this on my computer, and you know, he was not the only person they've ever sent me to look at. I've gotten lots of headshots and this and that, and I'm watching the audition and I literally started crying because that was my Jace and Clary on the screen. And it's an incredible feeling to see that even as an audition. This is amazing. He was snarky funny where he needed to be snarky funny, and he was badass where he needed to be badass. And he and Lily were incredible together.
In fact, after all the auditions, because she's done auditions with a bunch of different actors, she wrote to the head of the studio, Clint Culpepper of Screen Gems, and she was like, 'It's Jamie. It's gotta be Jamie.' He told me that, this was before he had seen the audition, he told me that he wrote back and he was like, 'He's a rock star hipster kind of guy. Do you think he can be a badass warrior-dude, as well?' And she wrote back and said, 'That is Jace standing there. When you watch the audition you'll see what I see.'

You've got to remember, too, that these people will be groomed to "look" like Jace and Clary. We may not be able to see it, but put some red hair on her and give hime a bunch of tats and stuff and I think it will totally be easier to get on board.I think it's cool to get the characters the author is happy with. Unlike some shows, it's nice to know she even has a voice. It's cool.

I'm so excited! I can't wait to see who's going to play Magnus....
He doesn't look like "my magnus".. He looks too young.

I'm praying that he's an amazing actor and can pull this off.
I pictured Jace as Alex Pettyfer, or maybe Chad Michael Murray...and for Simon I imagined someone who kind of looked like Oliver James, not him, but reminds me of him...and Bill Kaulitz as Magnus...Bleh. Well, we'll just have to wait and see. Oh my lord, I can't wait! They had better not mess these up!
I am just praying for some actors who have been in the field some more.I don't want them all to be 'new'-ish.. We need someone we know who can pull it off. I don't know. I am just afraid that they are all so green, that it will ruin the movie.

Maybe...he might play different then to what we assume.... But I agree, I do wish that they would cast someone older.
But he also doesn't really age in the books lol...and he dates Alex who's young, so it might not be such a bad fit...just sayin' lol

These actors are all wrong and I can't see that kid playing Magnus. He does not look like a man who can rock body glitter. I'm really excited about this movie. The last few of my favorite books have been turned into movie, but they haven't been made into very good movies. Hopefully this will tip the scale movies staying close to the book. Has anyone seen pictures of the runes yet?

I'm SO excited and can I just say EEERG...come faster movie release date!I actually really liked the guy who plays Magnus, I mean, what I've seen of him so far. His attitude/how he talks. Not sure about the body glitter though ;)
There'll always be a bit of disappointment because you picture them in your head while you're reading and they never get it one hundred percent.
