Kate | 18 comments i thought he was still a raging psycopath and it turns out i was right, only he was more i control of himself than in previous books. i finished CoLS on the 2nd. IT. ENDS. FABULOUSLY!!! you will not be disapointed with the ending of this book, but you will be disapointed with the wait to find out how the series ends forever!

Kate | 18 comments he's a half demon child of liliths! what do you expect? for him to care?!

Richa (cityofbooks) | 23 comments i really wish he did, though.. Like the part in CoLS when he saves Clary after she follows him, he was really sweet there and I was so pissed when I found out it was all fake :O

T.J. | 77 comments No. I don't like Sebastian. At all. The guy is demented and twisted and the fact that he can act as if he cares just makes him all the more creepy. If he was never injected with demon blood, he still may have been raised by Valentine which would conclude in similar perspectives. We do not need another Valentine.

especially (*spoiler*) when the fight between her and her brother happens in the apartment and he's all like 'i'll have you by my side however i have to force you to be there'. he really doesn't care at all!!

but the thing is though, while you do make a good point, if he haden't had the demons blood in him, he would have been less twisted and more readily albe to actually look on a situation with compassion! ok, i get your point that you think he's like Valentine, and he is, but without the demons blood he would have been almost normal! do you get my point?

liliths blood was the centre of problems with Mr. Jonothan Christopher Morgenstern!!

I don't like him either and what bothers me is: he is a totally Psycho freak but in some parts i was a bit of pitty and that bothers me in some ways -.- Still we needed a bad guy like him in the books didn't we ?

i felt disapointed NOW that HE 8and i KNEW he was a psycho) i felt disapoint when he turned back to his psycho maniac plans or whatever that AND -SPOILER-
The fact that was that Persona (mask) of Jace (the fake one) who give ideas fpor him :C and I'm now really ending this books, and i really like it :)

still we needed a bad guy who has this characteristics that little bastard :C yet i like his character more in this book than CoG

Inês (nesborges) | 74 comments Sorry guys but *Furiouse moviments and crying* I didnt like and i dont like Sebastian but this pitty i feel IS SO FRUSTATINg is part of me that understands why he is a psycho why he does this why he is like this but whta he and valentine did was UNFORGIVABLE yet this pitty is so frustating :C He is suposed he and valentine, to simbolize the Darkest part of Humanity: Greed, drunk with power, jelousy, psycho freak, mean ....
and the part of being pitty of this litle bastard gets a bit frustating if you know what i mean.

I like him as a character, but is there is someone like this in reality it is a really BAD but BAD deal :C

and now my fav part of the book were the ones that i cried including chap 18 and the Love and blood

Not neccessarily. demon blood or not, Valentine would have taught him to see his same views on the Clave and on life. Valentine ain't so sane either. It's likely that Johnathan would have turned out twisted either way. With a little bit more compassion and the ability to care? Maybe. But the point is that he still would have had major problems whether he was injected with blood or not, the only difference being the lack of humanity which Johnathan has always lacked thanks to his crazy father.

yes but the thing is that he would have been less twisted if demons blood had never entered his system! i mean look at jace! he was raised by valentine and he actually had a little bit of pity! even though he is not the best measure for humanness, he showed us that Valentine couldn't taint him fully and in essence he was still a shadowhunter and not valentines son!

message 16: by T.J. (new)

T.J. | 77 comments You also have to take into account that he had angel blood in him, right? Plus, he only lived with Valentine till he was like, 10. Now, include the fact that Johnathan was actually related to Valentine and basically lived with him until he was 16-17. That's alot more time to gain knowledge from Valentine and the flexibility to twist Johnathan's perspectives until they mirrored Valentine's.

Kate | 18 comments i know which is why i said he wasn't the best measure against sebastian
