Steampunk List Help

Wow. This is unbelievable.

I don't know who the other librarian is, but the one who chopped the steampunk list I was on was Evelyn Kriete, who is a professional author in the steampunk community.

Shame on her for destroying the work of 166 readers and eliminating all 74 of the books she didn't vote for from the list.

Oh man, this is upsetting.

I say sabotage, because this past weekend she (the librarian in #6 above) performed 1399 (not a typo) librarian edits, well over 95% of which were deletions from lists. That cannot be called anything but sabotage. She was mass deleting in the days before that, I just looked at the page count for July 7-8.

(It looks, however, as if she will not be deleting any more books from lists. No librarian link on her profile.)

Good grief, how much damage has she done undercover? If I hadn't happened to look at that steampunk list and ask about it, how much longer could this have gone on?

Oh! Thank you, that's very kind, but not what I meant. I wasn't fishing for thanks, but expressing a chill of horror of what might have gone on unawares. Definite thanks to Kim and Vicky for detective work, and to The Holy Terror, who on the other thread about this found Google's cache of the original list before it was meddled with:

Aaand ... as has been pointed out to me by more than one person, it is Ms. Kriete's account that has been used. There is no certainty that it was Ms. Kriete who used it.

Some explanation would help. Has anyone tried to PM Ms. Kriete, in case it wasn't her, to alert her that her account was being used for this?
