When the Obama campaign tried to sell me an Obama "fleece jacket" I wrote back telling them that "fleece" was an unfortunate word choice for a political campaign.

Now I see the jacket is back, special for the inauguration. It's called a "Seal Fleece Jacket." It does have an image of a presidential seal, but my first thought when I saw was of the animal.

Seals don't have fleece!

message 2: by Lea (new)

Lea | 18 comments For a real fleece job maybe they should produce a Blagojovich (spelling?) jacket!

What would be better -- an Obama flak jacket?

message 4: by David (new)

David | 4568 comments There ain't no fleece on me
There ain't no fleece on me
There may be fleece on some of you geese
But there ain't no fleece on me.

Nicole Hilarious. At least it wasn't a "fleas" jacket.

David | 4568 comments I saw this gem on a website:

The former Laguna Beach star has been slapped by another lawsuit, this one by tow-truck driver Jose Alarcon, E! News reported Wednesday. The incident has already produced two lawsuits against Wahler, who has lost both.

In this lawsuit, Alarcon alleges Wahler "committed acts of violence, threats of violence, and made racial epitaphs" towards him during the altercation. In addition, Alarcon claims Wahler's alleged rant prevented him from doing his job and were simply done "with malice" purely "on account... of race," according to E! News
"Racial epitaphs" are, of course, a grave matter, one that should not be buried.

OK, I'll bite. Who is "Wahler" and is "Laguna Beach" a TV show or something?

Even I know that NE!! Laguna Beach is a place in California and racial epitaphs must look amazing on a headstone.....methinks they meant epithets!!

message 12: by David (new)

David | 4568 comments Laguna Beach is my home town and home to the former, mindless TV reality show about gilded and worthless youth.

It's amazing who passes the bar these days.

I once had a professor for History of Mexican and Chicano Art, who spoke quite enthusiastically of Mexican gravestones and their epithets.

Laguna Beach is about 10 miles north of me. It's where I spent all my childhood summers. There's a big part of my heart there.

I like that my 22 year old grandson communicates with his grandmother on Facebook. I just wish he wouldn't talk all the time about going to the "wreck center!"

message 36: by Ken (new)

Ken | 18313 comments Mod
Hopefully, they don't "wreck" havoc there.
