My book trailer for my exciting, mysterious and sensual Historical Romance "REVENGE of the KNIGHTS TEMPLARhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iBBh3k...
The Ghost and Mrs. Muir is one of my all-time favorite movies! When I sat down to write Lost in the Light, I wanted to pay homage to the romance between Lucy Muir and Captain Craig ... but set in modern day and the Prohibition. Hope you enjoy the trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RyhBi0...
I directed my trailer myself, but this is a bit of a "don't try this at home" unless you have very generous film school friends who will fly across the country with all their gear and spend two days in the rain at a historic house. Live action, sync sound, Red Epic, SAG cast, with Georgian mansions, 18th century gowns, British uniforms, and swords.Enjoy:

Thanks much! Feel free to re-post. We're officially rolling it out next week but I'm sharing it with friends first. I'm also blogging about how you can create a trailer like this without the generous film school friends!

Will add my trailer to this mix... my Victorian-era romp What Happens in Scotland comes out on Tuesday, and my husband actually cobbled this together for a Valentines Day present for me. Enjoy!http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EPJtNk...

Thanks Jennifer!
What an awesome present!
Thanks Donna! When they both showed up in Robin Covington's USA Today post, my husband said, "Wow, glad we got to go in FRONT of the one for Turncoat!" You have set the bar high! Can't wait to read.
http://youtu.be/LQHEDyP5uYQRedesigning Emma is a sweet romance about a Manhattan milliner who gets entangled in the newsboy strike of 1899. This strike is the subject of the hit Broadway play, Newsies. But that's not all, Emma is the kind of spunky heroine who is in to everything.
I'm not really a fan of trailers (IMO, they take away from the point of reading: creating a world in your own mind), but I feel compelled to mention this thread brought The Turncoat: Renegades of the Revolution to my attention. It seems completely and totally up my alley. My copy came from Amazon today (couldn't find it locally in stores on Tuesday); I cannot wait to begin it tonight!

It would be cool if there was a way to "like" the trailers here (right in here!) - they are pretty good! I still choose books by covers (I know, I know...) but the trailer, in my mind, is like an "extended cover." I think I saw someone post a message somewhere that said something to the effect of... they wouldn't buy a book that didn't have a video trailer posted somewhere - I'm not going that far!

I've just started looking at other examples. This must have cost a lot of 'Solidi' (dollars) :-) My book is set at the end of theRoman Empire. I can't imagine a film crew for that in Italy. Any advice for the novice?

Jennifer: Did your husband make this trailer?? It's very hot! LOL Excuse my ignorance, but are these actors (or possibly the neighbors ). Really, where does one start?

Wow. These are nice. Were you able to just post these on Goodreads or do you have to get them approved in some way? My romantic historical On the Edge of Sunrise just came out this week and I have a one minute trailer I'd like to add here as well.
Thanks, I'm glad you liked them! No, I just posted them on my goodreads page without any approval, all I had to do was paste the links on the videos tab. You're book On the Edge of Sunrise sounds fascinating and I would love to read it and give you a review when I can. I am also looking for reviews for my novel if you're interested in reading it. Here's the links on where to buy it if you wanna check it out. http://www.amazon.com/Windswept-Suily...

Your story sounds intriguing. Sure. I'm willing to swap a review. You can get
at http://www.amazon.com/Edge-Sunrise-Lo...
I will also post my trailer. It's shorter and simpler but will give you the feel for the story. I will get a Kindle edition of Windswept, so I can get started. Let me know if you're still interested. :-)
Imaginary Brightness: a Durant Family Saga.
If you like American historical fiction with a flash of English history as well - this is a story of post -civil war America and the railroad tycoons that pioneered the wilderness. https://youtu.be/hJjbajQUXyI
It is 1821 and smuggling is rife on the English coast. One man is determined, not only to stop this violent trade, but to hang the perpetrators – one in particular. Lucy has her own problems and they get worse when these two men enter her life. Two men, one girl – trouble awaits.
“This is an enjoyable and thoroughly recommended read, a romantic thriller mystery that maintains its knife edge tension through to the last page.” Tony Spencer - Amazon UK reviewer.
