Malaika (malaikachicken) I like to read when im in bed about to go to sleep or what i have recently been doing is reading while having a bath. But I can read anywhere even when there is loud noises or loud people talking.

Ouch. I was in a car accident and wasn't supposed to use one of my hands/arms much, kept forgetting and using it too turn pages, and then would call for pain meds after hiding my book/iPhone/iPad... I think they knew as I was frequently told no meds and to go to sleep instead of reading. nothing was going to stop my reading. LOL

I am currently recovering from having my seriously infected gallbladder out ( I could tell you exactly what was wrong but there may be weak stomached people reading this). anyway, it has taken surprisingly a couple of weeks just to bend and pick something up from the floor.
my book seat thankfully has been placed next to me, ( as I usually have it) so I didn't get the irritation of surgical sites. so I kind of understand what you are both talking about...I'm just fortunate that i didn't have to change my reading style ....would have driven me crazy!

Tasha Turner (tashaturner) May you have a speedy recovery. Glad you didn't have to adjust reading style due to surgery.

yes I am glad, but I do feel sorry for those people who are having difficulties.
I seem to be having difficulties now with my sleeping style( side sleeper) but slowly I have been able to get back to my usual tossing and turning style of sleep( either that or my insomnia stuffs things up....which is OK cause that is more reading time for me).

I read everywhere. Even when I workout, I listen to audiobooks too which help me cook, do chores and stuff. But my favorite place to read is in bed :b

I like to read on a desk sitting down on a chair head bent over the book eyes wide open and reading for hours at a time. Although thats my favourite position i dont always do it :) i usually just lie down in bed and read a book turning everynow and then when somewhere of my body hurts that i didnt even know could get sore. i dont like to read on pc or tablet. i dont know it takes the feelng away from reading or the experience i prefer to have the book in my hqnd it just feels better :)
