Destined to Play is receiving quite a bit of hype since it's release in the UK and has been billed as the next FSOG. The Ebook was just released in the United States on July 31.
HarperCollins Australia bought the rights for 6 figures. A sequel, Destined to Fly, will be released in December followed by the 3rd book next year. Lots of info out there if you Google the first book.

i have to say that it really isn't in the same realm as FSOG or BTY etc. i think that it tried, but there wasn't as much in this intro to the series to really draw us in. there was a lot of scientific talk which was nice but i think that it took away at times. instead, we didn't get the emotional struggle that we should have gotten with AB and her marriage and we didn't get the connection that she supposedly had with Jeremy. i only got sucked into the story in the last chapter and epilogue. i'm reading book 2 and we'll see what i say in a day or 2
No way anything like 50 Shades. I started to read it & didn't like it at all!
Assolutamente no ! Il primo libro è passabile, gli altri due sono insulsi !
Nope, not like 50Shades. It's a different kind of worse. The writing style is better in a way (still a little strange) but the plot is the most hideous thing I've ever read. I read the whole book 'Destined to play' and I was shocked with the way Alexandra reacts to the creepyness and psycho stuff her mentally disturbed love doctor does to her.
Really. It's beyond acceptable. I didn't like it and I won't be Reading what on Earth is there to follow.
As to 50Shades, I won't comment. The whole series doesn't need an extra critic. It speaks for itself.
As to well written, good literature of this genre, there are Silvia Day and Vina Jackson's novels. I read them and there's no way of even make a fair comparison.
Anyway, it's just an opinion, as valid as any other!
Enjoy your readings! :)

Terrible Series, dont waste your time, nothing like FSOG for starters she cheats on her husband!!!
this book is not at all like fifty and i have to say that crossfire and gabriel's inferno but everything he wants is also a lot like fifty

FSOG is much better! It was difficult to me to get through DTP, didn't like the characters and I'm not sure I'll be continuing with the series.
really bad, she given a drug so she can't see, seriously creepy. Submission is one thing but this is beyond safe to give total control like this.
No where's near 50 Shades, I couldn't even get thru the last one. I got to page 100 & gave up it was so confusing to read. If you're looking for something good to read try Sylvia Day's Crossfire Novels if you haven't yet.
Completely different from 50 Shades. I loved Christian & Ana & can see them getting into a normal life. Destined to Play - well, why would that women "love" this guy? I really did not believe the outcome. Yes - completely different stories!
This was a horrid book and nothing like Fifty Shades. I loved Fifty Shades and didn't feel at all like she was ever debased. Jeremy was horrible and not redeemable at all to me. I finished the book with disgust and refuse to read any of the following ones.
Definitely not in the same league as FSOG. I was really disappointed with this book. I won't be reading the next one.
Think this is the only book I have never finished reading. Did not like it at all! Very unbelieveable, an extremely intelligent woman and mother who lets a man take her sight away. I stopped reading at that point because my mum is blind. No thing like 50 shades and that wasn't written very well although we all love the kinkt fuckery.
I didn't really enjoy this book. Gave it away on paperback x
Not anywhere close to Fifty..... While I will continue to read the series...it was not as captivating as Fifty.
The Crossfire Series by Slyvia Day are the closest thing to Fifty.

Does not even come close! I felt no connection with the characters and spent half the book wanting to punch Jeremy in the throat. I only finished it because I paid for it.
Didn't like this book at all FSOG is so much better. Did stop reading it and skipped a fair bit but went and thought as I had paid for it should read it properly. What a waste of money and time.
Yes, I'm in the UK and have read it. I downloaded it onto my Kobo. I enjoyed it, sort of,but it is definitely not the next FSOG. It did have a lot of sex scenes in it, and as far as I'm concerned were not written as well as FSOG. I am currently reading Bare To You by Sylvia Day and that is more like the next FSOG in my opinion.

If you liked Bared to You series then I think you will like the This Man series by Jodi Ellen Malpas.
