Andrew Ashling (andrewashling) | 39 comments I couldn't find this book on Goodreads, so I'm giving you the Amazon book description:

Born to be nobody. Destined to be king. Doomed to be a villain. What matters? Loyalty matters. Loyalty Binds Me.

Artist Hans Holbein receives a summons to the home of Sir Thomas More for the commission of his lifetime, but he will leave with a secret that puts his very life at risk. What he will learn is the truth about the life of King Richard III, from his return from exile with his brother, King Edward IV, through his rise to become the king's most powerful subject. From his flourishing personal life to his seizure of the throne. The unfashionable truth about the man the Tudor dynasty has worked tirelessly to villify will be as nothing compared to the reason for it, as Holbein will discover. He is about to be asked to hide the greatest secret in England. A secret that could tear the fragile Tudor regime apart at its seams.

You can download it for free (at the time of writing, July 6th, 2012) on Amazon

Darkpool | 91 comments Huh. Must be one of those things where you have to live in the correct part of the world. :(

Yep. Had this happen to me too a few times. Sometimes the book becomes free later, sometimes it's just a regional thing.

Yeah, some of these freebies don't seem to work in all parts of the world. I think it was to do with the country your Kindle is registered in.

Andrew Ashling (andrewashling) | 39 comments Are you adding it to the group shelves as well?

message 10: by Rio (Lynne) (new)

Rio (Lynne) | 31 comments No. I've never done that. Let me see if I can figure that out.

message 11: by Rio (Lynne) (new)

Rio (Lynne) | 31 comments I think you have to be a moderator to do that?

Andrew Ashling (andrewashling) | 39 comments Any member can do it. I could too. Just didn't want to do something that was already being done. :)

Rio (Lynne) | 31 comments I couldn't click the "add a book" link. Maybe I was in the wrong area.

Any member can add a book to the shelf, as long as it's related to the topic. Put a Victorian on the shelf and I'll zap you :D

Xenia0201 | 8 comments I will look for it - thanks! It sounds similar to the plot of Vanora Bennett's Portrait of An Unknown Woman. You might want to check that out as well.

Joan Szechtman | 401 comments It must be free for a couple of days, because I was still able to take advantage of it.

Plantagenista | 30 comments Thank you for the heads up. I was able to download it for free from the German amazon site, to my big surprise, because this seems to be a third world country, too.
