She was the first girl outside my Shadowhunter world that caught my interest. Other girls seemed shallow compared to her and the way she dealt with problems and how she didn't seem fazed (that much) by my first rate looks made me want to get to know her more. She isn't really bad looking herself, and she's absolutely breathtaking when she makes the effort. I may be able to have any girl I want, but Clary is the only one that's my perfect match. Contrary to what he worried, Alec was one of my true loves. I have lived a long time and I couldn't think of anyone else who I would want to die with more than him. Maryse and Robert Lightwood, did you two ever feel bad that you guys got a lighter punishment for being members of the Circle than Hodge?
While we do believe that Hodge was a truly honest and good man, we are thankful that we were let off lightly compared to him. Hodge was a solitary man in life and we have Jace, Isabelle, and Alec to look after. Later on, we feel that we received the rest of our punishment in Max's death. It haunts us to this day. Clary, even though the days that Sebastian acted like a real brother were faked, what did you feel then and how did you feel when you found out it was an act?
It was strange, even thinking that I had a brother, one that I had to pretend to care for. He seemed to have an explanation for everything and at times it was hard not to believe him. But I was determined to keep his trust so I agreed with him, even some things that disgusted me. When I found it was all an act obviously I was terrified, but it was also a bit of relief, not having to act anymore.Jace, did you ever pick up any hints about Alec being gay? How did you feel after he came out?
First of all, I'd like to say that I never doubted him for one second. I sensed something about him through our parabatai connection, but I've always trusted his considerate personality and how he knew that I myself obviously wasn't gay. We never had that particular little awkward problem in our friendship and he's still an amazing partner despite anything. Raphael, how were you turned into a vampire and how did you cope with/get used to it?

Though it is the place of my childhood, I have everything I need and everyone I love here in London. I'm content in my place here at the Institute and have no wish to dig up any old memories, some of which are painful. Brother Zachariah, why did you choose to become a Silent Brother?
