Tomorrow back to work - this'll be be hard...
Kiwi
Hi Karin, it's still on like Donkey Kong for Sept. 11th (where have we seen that date before?) Happy reading and good luck with the whole back-to-work thing.
Well, I think we can safely say 8 o'clock. As to the where...would everyone be OK for the Café Aparemment one more round?
@Justin don't know as I haven't sampled them. But, seen from a distance, the main dishes did look good. They gave off that characteristic sheen of yummy food and the colors were vivid and believable. Also, people eating them often emitted smacking sounds, as people do when they experience intense eating satisfaction.
OK, reservation was made for ten (10) people for this evening's bookclub meeting at Café L'Apparemment, 8 o'clock. Ben Okri's ears will be buzzing!
I realize there may be less than ten of us, and if the waiter comes by to give me grief about it I've prepared my best Joe Pesci "Whaddya doin', embarrassing me in front of my friends, like I'm a deadbeat?", which may or may not work I have no idea what I'm doing.
Here's the location: https://maps.google.com/maps?q=18+Rue...
If you get there before 8, asks for René's table (and avoid any Joe Pesci/Robert De Niro/Crocodile Dundee imitations).
Lindsay, your RER excuse was refused by the organizing committee and you will have to attend the book club meeting, I'm very sorry I pleaded your cause bravely but lost in the end.
Viviane, hope you reach us as soon as manageable!
See you all at 8!

Café L'Apparemment, 18 Rue des Coutures Saint-Gervais 75003 Paris, 8 o'clock. Will be great if you can come, Alan!
Planning on it, although depending on when a friend of mine (apon whom I need to foist responsibility for my dog whilst I head to Scotland for the weekend) gets home, I may be treading the thin line between dead-on-time and fashionably late.
