I have a very nice bathroom, I'd be happy to give you a tour. But not the kids' bathroom...although they have been cleaning it a lot more. Darryl threatened to turn off the internet to their rooms if they didn't keep it clean ;) That seems to have done the trick!

I finally went through all my books and pulled over 100 of them off my bookshelves. Part of me is sooooooo sad to be parting ways with books I've had for years and years and years. But most of me is so relieved to finally being able to shelve all my new books who needed to be put away, but there just wasn't enough room.

I'm only parting with the books that didn't make me pause to take it down off the shelf. I kept every one that was beloved to me for whatever reason.

So WOOT WOOT to finally finally finally doing the deed I've been dreading forever! ;)

WOOT WOOT to playing hooky from work today! I took a much needed afternoon off and had lunch at a fancy restaurant with my Nook as my lunch date, then wandered around the book store just browsing. (No buying allowed until I whittle down my stack of books I already have...)

Then I napped until it was time to head to a 50th Anniversary Party at my neighbor's house. Good cake!

Tomorrow I'm finishing up a beta read. (Soooooo good! Squeeeeee!) And who knows what else. But I'm sure more reading will be involved! ;)

WOOT WOOT to the weather giving us a break today. It's only 90°F out right now (due to storm coming in today) so I'm finally enjoying a coffee and my dog is enjoying her Puppy Latte (cup of whip cream) OUTSIDE at our local Starbucks. In the middle of summer in Phoenix! Unheard of! :)

Decor....
This just randomly pipped into my mind.
I was watching a talk show (live with Kelly and Michael, I think) and they were doing party decor.
One thing they did that I thought was cool was, they took Styrofoam balls, painted them in different colours, and added glitter while the paint was setting.
Then they glue gunned the balls to cone-shaped plastic cups to make snow cones. You can connect them to lines like streamers and hang them from the walls, or you can make bouquets with them. I thought this was easy, fun, and cheap to make!
I suppose you could also do something to represent each of the different factions. Its up to you how!
